Happy Birthday, Sark!  And remember me?  The guy who noticed you and asked if you'd ever heard of a character called Thongor?  I was wrong, Lester Del Rey was NOT the author, Lin Carter was, and he was on Berkley books. Here's the first two books I bought.

As I said, these books were written in the Conan The Barbarian mode, and I enjoyed them every bit as much as the Ron Howard character! Plus the flying machine in both of these books, The Mention of a WIZARD etc.

Boy, don't EVER count on me, at this stage of my life, to come up with stuff I used to know by wrote.  ROBERT E. HOWARD is the author of Conan The Barbarian, RON HOWARD is the famous director that used to play 'Opie' on The Andy Griffith show in the '50s!
