  1. "The Hidden", a low-budget 80's SF flick with Kyle Maclachlan and Michael Nouri. Has a really great car chase & dialog and interplay between the characters is terrific. Also has a lot of very subtle nuances to the story that you probably won't catch the first time through. One of the first DVD's I bought. Here's the IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093185/
  2. If one were a pilot & referring to Toronto International's identifier, one might use the international phonetic, "yankee-yankee-zulu".
  3. Another good Terminator forerunner is, "Colossus" aka "The Forbin Project". Actually a really good movie, though the technology is dated (1969, I think). Interestingly, Colossus' (the supercomputer who takes over the world) emblem is hauntingly similar to the AOL logo!
  4. Anyone ever seen a cheesy little movie from the 60's called, "Cyborg 2087"? I haven't seen it since I was a kid but I recall the basic premise: Bad guys from the future send an assassin back in time to kill a scientist who will have a profound impact on the future. The good guys send a cyborg (Michael Rennie) back to stop the assassin. Sound familiar?
  5. One of my favorites! First saw it when I was a kid. Loved Hardy Kruger's character, probably 'cause I could relate to him. I was a geeky little kid with a slide rule.
