Travis Larson Band

Up until a month ago I had never heard of the Travis Larson Band. They are a three-person instrumental band that released their first album in 1998. I went to see Kofi Baker's Cream Experience (which was awesome) and I got there a bit early. The Travis Larson band played before them, and I saw them play a few of their songs. I wasn't expecting much, but I was blown away. I'm not even sure how to begin to describe it, so I'll just include one of their songs off their new album, "Shift", in this post. I bought it after they played, and got it signed by Travis Larson (guitarist) and Jennifer Young (Bassist). I talked to Travis after the show, and he was easy to talk to. When I brought up Rush, he said they were one of his favorite bands, and that he had meet Geddy and Alex before. If you listen closely to their songs, you can tell they were definitely inspired by Rush somewhat. One of the songs off their first album is called "Counter Parts"; I doubt that was a coincidence.
