  1. http://www.divisionbell20.com/ I've been waiting for something like this to come out. The original issue was pretty bad, and it's really rare. The songs were cut down to fit on single LP, which really ruins it for me. The reissue, however, is two LPs, and has the full length songs. I'm definitely going to get this, as it is one of my favorite albums.
  2. I like Metallica, but I 100% agree with you. The original version of Astronomy is way better than their cover of it. They should stick to their own songs, preferably the ones before 1991.
  3. I think a lot of people on here would agree that most covers aren't as good as the original. I hate it when they play them on the radio. Here are some examples: Come Together - Aerosmith I wouldn't really consider myself a fan of the Beatles, but I can't understand why they play the Aerosmith version of this song on the radio. The original is way better. Love song - 311 Not much needs to be said here. Again, there is no reason to play this on the radio when the original is much better.
  4. I'll definitely be buying this. I have the original, but the entire second side plays horribly. They really need to re-release Roll The Bones, Counterparts, Test For Echo, and Snakes And Arrows. Those albums are really rare on vinyl, with the exception of Test For Echo, which was never officially released on vinyl.
  5. No, Some of them are already expensive. Roll the Bones, Counterparts, Vapor Trails (not the remixed version), Feedback, and Snakes and Arrows are all good examples.
  6. I love the album now. But I am only 17, so there wasn't really a "Then" for me. Also, it's not GUP or P/G. It's Grace Under Pressure. I hate all of the acronyms people come up with for the albums and songs. I don't see how it's hard to type three extra words.
  7. I couldn't agree more. I always have to listen to Cygnus X-1 first, then Book II. It just doesn't feel right listening to one part alone.
  8. "Living in the limelight, the universal dream, for those who wish to seem…" - (Limelight) "Armed with sense and liberty, with the Heart and Mind united in a single perfect sphere" - (Cygnus X-1 Book Two: Hemispheres, VI. The Sphere A Kind of Dream)
  9. Signals is my least favorite album from the synth era. Side one is great, but side two just bores the hell out of me. Except for Losing It, which is awesome. It's not terrible, but the albums that came after (Grace Under Pressure, Power Windows, Hold Your Fire) were just so much better.
  10. I just picked up a VG+ copy of Feedback for $20. :smoke:
  11. I hate all of the abbreviations and acronyms for the albums and songs. I prefer to just type out the whole name; it's not hard.
  12. I guess I never really noticed it, or it just didn't bother me, because Grace Under Pressure is one of my favorite Rush albums. I've always thought it was much better than Signals. Signals just has too many songs that I don't really care for (New World Man, The Weapon, Countdown never really interested me). I love every song on Grace Under Pressure, (yes, that includes red lenses).
  13. "Believe in what we're told until our final breath, while our loving Watchmaker loves us all to death." - (BU2B) "Sound and fury drowns my heart, every nerve is torn apart...." - (Cygnus X-1)
  14. It's hard to take someone's opinion seriously when they don't know what they're talking about. "Rush's last album where Keyboards were 1 of the main instruments proved to be very solid with its Sci-Fi Lyrics and Heavy Bass. Fave Songs: Distant Early Warning and Red Sector-A" "last album where Keyboards were 1 of the main instruments" So Power Windows and Hold Your Fire don't exist?
  15. Not sure which theater yet, but I'll be seeing it somewhere in the San Diego area.
  16. Yes! You got it. I'll try to pick a harder one next time (of course, if there is a next time.)
  17. That was a pretty good song. The first thing that stood out to me were the guitar riffs, and they certainly kicked ass. You were right about them having a classic rock sound; you could have told me that song had been released in the '70s, and I probably would have believed you. I would type more, but I have never really been good at reviewing music. I'll have to check out more of their songs when I have the time. This next song is an instrumental by the Travis Larson Band. I posted a thread about them a while ago, but no one replied. http://www.therushfo...is-larson-band/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zsa9FwN9-2Y Also... This thread is awesome. Let's keep it going!
  18. No. Interesting guess though, I wouldn't have thought of that.
  19. "Another day as drab as today is more than a man can endure" - (Middletown Dreams) "Innocence gave me confidence To go up against reality" - (Circumstances)
  20. Sorry it took so long, I've been busy the last few days. http://i.imgur.com/R6UXJ.jpg
  21. "Features distorted in the flickering light The faces are twisted and grotesque"
