D'Addario balanced tension strings...what do you think?

I have a 81 Ibanez Artist solidbody that I've had for years (my first electric). While I love it to death, the one issue is that the bottom strings have always felt 'sloppy'...not as much tension as the top strings. I was thinking of trying a set of the balanced tension strings and was wondering what other players have found. I also have a strat, so has anyone tried them on a strat?

 

I usually use Ernie Ball 10s, but I'm not very fussy about strings.
