Cowtothesky
Ok, these things excite me, so bear with me. Did anyone else catch how the score was based on a song performed by Edith Piaf? Hans Zimmer did an amazing thing with the score. You might remember the ominous wall of low brass that blares as the score. What that actually is, is a slowed down version of Edith Piaf's song, done in a deliberate attempt to show the different time frames of each level of the dream. In the real world, the song would play at regular speed, but as the movie goes on and more time is spent in the dream, the song slows down to fill the time passed, which is the epic music scored by Zimmer. Brilliant! Check out the original song and the slowed down version at this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2sD3QvwnjY
