Three Eyes
Rock Band Secures Tour Through ‘Fake’ Fanbase As apparent rising-star rock band Threatin made their way across Europe on their first tour, venue operators saw a pattern emerging: no one was showing up to the gigs. This was despite assurances from the band’s agent that hundreds of tickets had been sold for each night, and evidence from their social media channels that tens of thousands of fans were on board with frontman Jered Threatin and his music. If you are reading this, you are part of the illusion.” Time will tell if it was a 21st-century stunt of Bowie proportions, or if Threatin’s 15 minutes are up. Three Eyes
Launched in 1978, the CompuRhythm CR-78 was Roland’s first drum machine that created and stored patterns. Even though it was meant as a rhythm accompaniment device for organs—hence the abundance of waltz and bossa nova patterns—it became fairly popular with established musicians, including Phil Collins who used it several years later on ‘In the Air Tonight’.
