rushfanNlv
In all the interviews I have read on the subject, he never mentions the model he uses. I am interested to know as well.
cooheed2112
I know! Read them all too! Never a mention. Most likely not a headphone unit. LolWould love to know.
cooheed2112
Having said that I once mixed a headphone unit with presets on my Digitech Gsp1101 and results were very close.
Ash-517
I love Rockman stuff, maybe I can help.GUP was released in '84. I assume this means it was recorded mostly in '83. If that is the case, then it would be either an original Rockman, or the ultralight. The only difference being that the ultralight doesn't have the reverb effect. RedStarMan2112
I read a long time ago that he had an original Scholtz Rockman. Not the light version.
RedStarMan2112
It's a shame that there's no VST version of that sound. I'd love to pump a keyboard or a sequencer through it.
stoopid
It's a shame that there's no VST version of that sound. I'd love to pump a keyboard or a sequencer through it. Supposedly people can get pretty close using Amplitube. https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=267779 I have to agree with one of those replies - I can get a really good tone, that IMO is *better* than the rockman (although similar in grit and sustain) just tinkering with what's available in Amplitube (for free, no VST plugins/addons from their store needed). Love that guitar tone on the first Boston album.
