Full disclosure, the first time I ran it the poll generator had this up against p/g, and I just didn't feel like throwing that completely and utterly obvious of a poll out there, so I went with the next option. Hope this is more fun. Sadly for this really awesome new Foos album, I've been a James Taylor fan since I was in my mother's womb, and his Greatest Hits is a core part of my early life's soundtrack. JT times three.

Interesting, I don't think we've touched the Stones yet, and these albums are both from 1974! Who had a better year, forgetting about the fact that Queen put out two albums that year. Interesting note, despite the proggy goodness of Queen II, the Stones actually have the longest song between the two albums with Fingerprint File, about 7 seconds longer than The March Of The Black Queen.

This reads more as an even match to me, though I'm not sure the love some on here have for heartland rockers like Seger and Springsteen translates over to Mellencamp.

Well darn, here I am usually silently complaining the random poll generator never picks many of my favorite albums, and here it goes and pits two albums I love dearly from my favorite bands up against each other... tough call to make here... tough call

The RPG is finally realizing Queen exists in the past week or so. Shame I haven’t been able to make up my mind in any of the polls yet, but this one I’m pretty sure of! Leftoverture beats out The Game on account of being a whole masterpiece versus half of one. But of course Queen takes home the band trophy.

I feel like only a couple people will have a tough time with this one. For me... the album matchup is tough. Despite some killer hits, I'm not the hugest fan of Full Moon Fever in comparison with other Petty albums I've heard. Fleet Foxes debut is high quality throughout and thoroughly unlike most anything else in my collection. I don't put either one on much, but I think I'm more likely to turn to the solemn magic of Fleet Foxes than the commercial juggernaut of Full Moon Fever. On the artist side of the coin though, Petty every day. Hard Promises alone could secure that.
