  1. Consider the source, but still, the photo is legit: :o https://www.alternativenation.net/dave-grohl-huge-rush-secret-revealed-leaked-photos/ Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl was photographed driving with Rush frontman Geddy Lee in leaked photos near the Cosmo MusicFEST 2019 in Richmond Hill, Canada over the weekend. Grohl was seen driving Lee in a car, and the two are rumored to be working on a secret project. Grohl was asked in a 2018 Rolling Stone interview how he’d react to Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee asking him to replace Neil Peart in Rush. “I would say, ‘I’m not physically or musically capable, but thanks for the offer.’ Neil Peart, that’s a whole other animal, another species of drummer. I know the arrangements, but I’m like Meg White to Neil Peart. And she’s one of my favorite drummers! She’s my daughter’s favorite drummer, too. My daughter plays drums to two types of music: White Stripes and AC/DC. I’m like, ‘That’s exactly what you need to be doing.'” He added, “She is one of those drummers that if you hear 15 seconds of her recording, you’ll know who it is and that to me has always been the gold standard. That’s always been the challenge. You want to know when you hear it, like, you’re like, ‘Oh, that’s John Bonham. Oh, that’s Charlie Watts. That’s Ringo. That’s Stewart Copeland. That’s Meg White.’ And that’s not easy to do. That means you’re playing from the heart. No, she’s great, man. I mean honestly.” Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins joined Rush at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2013. Grohl told Rolling Stone in 2013, “It’s terrifying to play your favorite band’s song in front of your favorite band. It’s one thing to sit in the basement and woodshed 2112, and its another to stand in front of Rush in a f***ing kimono and a wig and try to use a wah-wah pedal in your platform shoes. It was amazing. Tonight was one of the most special nights of my life.” He added, “When I got 2112 when I was eight years old; it f***ing changed the direction of my life. I heard the drums. It made me want to become a drummer. At rehearsals the other day, I had never met Neil Peart before. Alex [Lifeson] and Geddy [Lee] are the nicest people in the world. I was coming to rehearsal and I was meeting Neil for the first time, and this man was as influential as any religion or any hero or any person in someone’s life. He said, “So nice to meet you. Can I make you a coffee?” And he made me a coffee, man. And later on that night, I went to dinner and had a couple glasses of wine and I started f***ing crying because my hero made me a f***ing coffee. It was unbelievable, man. So that’s kind of how this whole experience has been.”
