  1. Inspired by the YT Channel Sea of Tranquility, what bands or artists do you like the hits/well known album cuts, but don't really care for the deep cuts. The bands that fill the bill for me.... Nazareth - love the best songs from all the albums from 'Snaz and back, but usually a 50/50 ratio on most records and really can't be bothered after 1982 April Wine - again, really like the popular songs but there's a big drop off in quality after the hits. I always attributed it to not enough writers within the band. Myles wrote almost everything Ted Nugent - the classics are just that but diving deeper and yikes, some derivative and repetitive stuff that doesn't hold my interest BTO - when Randy wrote a hit, man those songs had hooks and really would stick in my brain, but big fall off after that I'm interested to know what people here think about other artists and maybe why. Is it not enough song writers within a group? One person exerting too much control? Or allowing an untalented band member contribute their crummy songs (see Kiss/Peter Criss)?
