  1. frankly you got me. I didn't notice they didn't play the studio ending. Good catch I suppose. I'll have to check it out on youtube
  2. Yea, they could have opened with Headlong Flight, maybe played one more from CA, and moved on. Then on down in the first set maybe something else from Grace Under Pressure or Signals. Whatever, it's all good, it's RUSH
  3. Oh, yea.... Ged pulls out the double neck Ric on Xanadu. It could not have been more perfect
  4. He did say hope to see you all again, which I found surprising, given it's the last tour. He also said it's the first time they played Jacobs Ladder which was strange, because they did play it for part of the PeW tour, and a few lucky members on the forum have said they have seen it before. It was an amazing night. Best RUSH show ever or at least since 1978 Tour of the Hemispheres. It leaves you speechless. Yes. Anthem in it's entirety. Are you kidding me!!!?
  5. Well, here's the deal. I had to stop posting because my Guest WIFI got real slow. first of all, yea the set list was basically as advertised. It looks like they will be moving some songs in and out. for instance I'm sure by now you know, but they only played 3 from CA. and the reason they opened with cuts off a marinally well received recent album is because they started from the newest and worked backwards to RUSH (the first album). So in that regards is makes some sense. But Holy Moly!!!!! I'm sure by now all have seen, but they actually played Anthem in it's entirety.!!!! and Lakeside Park!!! Are you kidding me? it was truly a night to remember. I have got to score some more tickets for the Dallas or KC shows. I'll just go ahead and get this off my chest, but the best parts for me was 1. they chose RB from MP as the second cut besides Tom Sawyer. Love that 2. Neil's double bass Slingerland 3. Hemispheres Prelude / Cygnus. Even after Neil's solo they broke back into the last of Cygnus. (In F----ing creadible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) 4. Xanadu in it's full glory 5. 2112 TO INCLUDE IV Presentation. Yea, I'm not kidding..... IV Presentation!!!! 6. Oh let me back up Jacobs Ladder with a laser show that killed. So after 2112 your thinking, good night it's done.? 7. Lakeside Park 8. Anthem 9. What your doing... yea... WHAT YOUR DOING!!!! 10. Working man No words for how awesome last night was. They did everything as with was purely written. No stupid freakin Regge intro bull Sh-t... Note for note as it was written. The sound started off kind of muddy and not great, but the sound engineers did a good job taking care of it, and by before intermission is was pretty well under control To all who are going.... Enjoy!!!! it's truly difficult to describe. AND YEA, IF YOU LIKE THE 70'S RUSH.... BRACE YOURSELF!!!!
  6. Anarchist. It's following the program. If anything changes I'll report back. Seems pointless
  7. The set list as printed in your book is legit
  8. The house blows down and u deal with it later
  9. Kidding. Justaking sure your paying attention
  10. Headed to the BOK in Tulsa. I will post to this thread the set list.
  11. Because it's a great album, with some of their best songs ever, and it only makes sense to feature songs from your best albums at an anniversary show. Taste is always subjective, but no way on a tour of this kind would I make room for more than 2 from CA. 3 votes matter. Your's isn't one. Who the heck said anyone wanted to vote? Part of the fun is critiquing the band, since they seem to have a rather unique taste in their own music since getting so insecure about respect when they fired Broon. Critiquing their entire career, they seemed to thrive most when being challenged by "authority" Sorry CA lovers, gave it yet another chance today. It's decent, but No way it's a top 7 Rush album. When you need an electron microscope to figure out what one or two members of a three piece are doing at any given time, something's wrong. Bravo. CA has 3 really good tunes. SAA has more.
  12. CA is not even close with featuring some of their best ever. It's not even as good as SAA. Certainly not much better
  13. Because it's a great album, with some of their best songs ever, and it only makes sense to feature songs from your best albums at an anniversary show. Taste is always subjective, but no way on a tour of this kind would I make room for more than 2 from CA. 3 votes matter. Your's isn't one.
  14. me too. i use my mom's if i have to, lol. it's perfectly possible to live life without 1. Mick
  15. How do u make it without s cell phone. Wow
  16. email me your cell number to jhill@richeyzink.com and I will give you a song by song personal update dude!!! Just post them here. We will be waiting. :) Well, here's the problem. I have an iPhone 5. so I have battery problems. I'm not going to sit there for 3 hours eating up 4G posting songs. I just posted my email to this board. if you want to take a chance and send me your cell, I won't betray another Rush fan. We're all Rush Geeks here, so you'll just have to trust me. But I'm legit. Swear. Or you can wait to see what someone else posts. eventually you'll find out. I don't mind sending out some texts though Send you my cell? If I had one, I would, but I don't, so I will just have to sit here and wait patiently until a kind soul tells us what is going on in Tulsa. Thank you just the same for the offer!
