  1. I have nothing against all these polls
  2. Call the venue and ask
  3. QUOTE (test4eggroll @ May 31 2010, 01:34 PM) grand designs is probably the best tune they ever wrote.
  4. QUOTE (greg2112 @ May 31 2010, 12:57 PM) Anyway... I'd be happy with a concentration of songs from the golden years '75-'85 + the rebirth years, 2002-onward... Anyone else? [/quote] I'm with you overall here, though I'd say golden years 74-84, and 2002-onward. However, it wouldnt bother me if they played some counterparts for good measure.
  5. QUOTE (Silas Lang @ May 31 2010, 01:10 PM) I pick The Necromancer but anything from this album would be amazing. I think The Necromancer really showcases Alex's early guitar work beautifully and If they did it live on the upcoming tour it would be amazing to see how much his playing has evolved
  6. I'm hoping Rush decides to record another live album documenting this upcoming tour just like S&A but if they do I think it won't be until the rumored 2011 leg
  7. QUOTE (Xanadu93 @ May 30 2010, 11:50 AM) QUOTE (jesse2112 @ May 30 2010, 11:45 AM) QUOTE (losingit2k @ May 30 2010, 10:17 AM) Actually I have a very good copy of Middletown Dreams Live! That you want to listen too! It was recorded back in the Power Windows tours! So yes i think they can do it! I had no idea that song was performed live of course I don't really have access to Rush bootlegs so I would never have known Here you go!

  9. QUOTE (Todem @ May 30 2010, 10:16 AM) The Necromancer...the jewel of this album minus the corny narrative. Some of their very best organic jams on that diddy.
  10. QUOTE (losingit2k @ May 30 2010, 10:00 AM) I had to go with Middletown Dreams. I love the song! I love the Lyrics! I love the solo! I love it! I hope its on the set list like the other thread implies. I think that would be hard to perform live but with technology they could do it
  11. Not my favorite album, but still a good one, I really wanna hear Marathon I think that's one of the songs Neil hinted at on his news update after all the last time its was played was in 1990 the Presto tour.
  12. I liked the screens except for Far Cry and The Way The Wind Blows they were kinda cheesy
  13. QUOTE (RobW @ May 30 2010, 02:21 AM) Turn The Page right after Marathon would be really cool just like ASOH I love that transition
  14. QUOTE (Working Man @ Nov 4 2009, 10:50 PM) When you thought Tom Sawyer was a "Heart" song. (my uncle did this)
  15. when you pronounce Geddy Jeddy
  16. QUOTE (the masked drummer @ Apr 28 2010, 03:30 PM) Dream Theater didn't come to Detroit last year, either. A clear indication of our economic status... theyre opening for Iron Maiden the 17th of July at DTE Im goin that kinda makes up for them skipping us on their ProgNation 09 tour
  17. QUOTE (amish_ashaman @ May 30 2010, 01:20 AM) ...Like Maiden did with their Somewhere Back in Time tour last tour. They played an all -80's setlist and didn't even hint at playing anything written in the past 20 years. Thats kinda what im hoping for with this tour but I'm not holding my breath, but I wasn't too suprised when they announced MP entirely a lot of bands have been doing that lately, Dream Theater , Judas Preist, Motley Crue(cringe), Aerosmith(ugh), etc
  18. I wish they would play at the Palace of Auburn Hills again
  19. QUOTE (amish_ashaman @ May 30 2010, 01:00 AM) If they really wanted to show us they meant business with this "Time Machine" thing, they'd open with Bastille Day. I really don't see how it ever fell out of the rotation. me too awesome opener as heard on Different Stages and ATWAS
  20. Presto or The Pass, I ve been listening to the entire album a lot lately and my opinion has really changed I couldn't stand it before now i really like it
  21. It would be a treat for me if they played any song from this album except for I Think I'm Going Bald I hate that song
  22. I would really like to hear Mission again but not Time Stand Still with those extra backing vocals live it just seems a bit unatural but either was its cool
  23. QUOTE (HeikoShriek @ May 29 2010, 11:46 PM) Too bad the band doesn't make the money, Ticketbastard does.
  24. the 90s albums may have been subpar by Rush standards but the tours were amazing the setlists for Presto, RTB, Counterparts, and T4E all great
  25. maybe it has something to do with the outrageous ticket prices
