I dont regard CA as highly as you all, but its not whining to complain about the setlist, its being a Rush fan. In fact, it is not possible for Rush fans to ever be 100% happy with the setlist. :) :)
I'm 98% happy with Setlist "C". All they need to do is Swap out "Cut to the Chase" with Anaimate and I'm at 100%.

i think Snaked was punking us.
I hope not. I don't think Losingit could take it if he found out this was nothing but a joke.
Oh I actually considered it, but I also read the same thing on Twitter. So I knew he was legit with his Scoop!

Lakeside Park is the big shocker for me. Still can't believe they went there. This is really a tour that is a gift to all the old Rush fans. They know this material has been unplayed for a long time. It's the fans from the early years that have been left out. The band seems to finally be willing to play these songs again and make those fans happy too. So what's not to like?
Breaking out "What You're Doing" made it for me. That's one I really wanted to hear live someday, but had written it off as impossible.
That,Lakeside Park and Anthem are doing it for me! Jacob's Ladder and 99% of Xanadu are helping...but the stuff from when I first discovered Rush is amazing! (I saw the whole 2112 on the T4E tour, and they did Working Man recently, so)
They must have gone back and taken a fresh look at the song. They've always said that they play the songs they want to play. I don't think they play any song specifically to please the fans.
When in the last 30 years have they played anywhere near this amount of prog in one set? Never, which suggests they are trying to do just that, appease their long time loyal fans. They didn't come close to the recent set C in one set of R30.
They've got more surprises on the way methinks...Superconductor anyone? It'll rock so hard
I'm Still hoping Cut to the Chase will rotate in for Animate at some point.

You'rer all forgetting. the MP tour.....just sayin'
ooh and Hemispheres.
Mick
Yeah, and don't forget Signals tour either.
And Grace Under Pressure tour was quite the set list too.
:)
I think we can honestly say that it's the best setlist that they've had in the last 30 years.
I agree with this statement. However, I still bring up my last arguement concerning everything that came after Grace Under Pressure.
It's all relative. At the time, 1985 and before, there was no such thing as a bad set list.
Tell that to the 70's fans that went to see the Signals Tour. They were pretty unhappy with it. Many considered it a failure. However, that was my first RUSH Tour and I hold it most dear! (With one major flaw - No Losing It LOL) The Grace Under pressure tour started losing most of the Epic 70's tracks. This Tour has brought it all back and still holds all those great tunes from the 80's & 90's not to mention Clockwork Angels.

Last nights Set list was the best Set list ever performed at a RUSH concert. Just Saying!
:rush: :haz: :rush:
This!
I think I remember the Permanent Waves set being a little better :)
2112 (minus Oracle)
Freewill
By-Tor and the Snow Dog (abbreviated)->
Xanadu
The Spirit of Radio
Natural Science
A Passage to Bangkok
The Trees
Cygnus X-1 (abbreviated)
Hemispheres (abbreviated)
Closer To The Heart
Beneath, Between and Behind (abbreviated)
Jacob's Ladder
Working Man (reggae intro)
Finding My Way
Anthem
Bastille Day
In The Mood
Drum Solo
Encore: La Villa Strangiato (electric guitar intro)
Sorry But the PeW Set, even though awesome, didn't have any Moving Pictures, Clockwork Angels nor any great songs in Between. This set had something for every RUSH fan regardless of their Era of Preference. Its had Clockwork Angels & Snake and Arrows for the newer fans, l80's & 90's stuff for the Keyboard Era, and of course that insanely great 2nd Set for the early 80's-70's crowd. It was nearly perfect!

I don't think Geddy's voice is a factor any longer. He has found the way to over come his aging vocal situation.

I feel like a poser in this group, because I can't pick up on any misses/flubs/whoopsies/old man moments when they play.
Yeah I haven't heard non of what this guy is talking about.
Actually puppyloo is a female according to the picture on here posts. Listen closely to the loo
I know Loo is is a female, but the guy that was complaing about Al's senior moments was not.

Don't go crazy! The only album there that can compare to anything that came before it is Clockwork Angels.
