  1. A tour with new music and they can even play stuff from their solo albums! May look like this:

    Set I:

    50th Anniversary Medley

    Freewill

    Limelight,

    New Song,

    New Song #2,

    Geddy Lee Bass solo,

    My Favorite Headache,

    Promise

    The trees

    Xanadu

    2112 Entirety

    Set II:

    The Camera Eye

    Natural Science

BY Tor, the Necromancer and the Snowdog (medley)

    Cygnus X1/

    Hemispheres (Prelude)

    Alex Liefson acoustic solo

    Closer to the hear

    Red Barchetta

    Tom Sawyer

    the Spirit of Radio

    Encore:

    YYZ

    La Villa Stangiatto

    Working Man

  2. Presto. It has more good songs and nothing quite as bad as Heresy.

I don't know I think Superconductor and Scars are worse than that.

Scars in particular is bad but not as awful as Heresy for me.

Scars makes me think that they were smoking something really bad that week in the studio. :smoke:

Not Neil Pat. Are you serious? Neil's drumming is fuckking incredible on that song. "Presto" album destroys "Roll The Bones." "Face Up" Ass down Pat!

I always thought the drums on Scars sounded programmed, but never looked into it. Neil at his most atomically metronomic!

yeah that just shows how good Neil is ! :Neil:

  3. It's close. I actually quite enjoy both albums. I'd give the edge to Roll the Bones for a more consistent showing.

    By track:

    Presto (GPA 2.25)

    Show Don't Tell: B-

    Chain Lightning: B

    The Pass: A

    War Paint: F

    Scars: D

    Presto: C-

    Superconductor: B-

    Anagram: B

    Red Tide: C+

    Hand Over Fist: C

    Available Light: C+

    Roll the Bones (GPA 2.51)

    Dreamline: B+

    Bravado: A-

    Roll the Bones: B+

    Face Up: D

    Where's My Thing: C+

    The Big Wheel: B-

    Heresy: B+

    Ghost of a Chance: B-

    Neurotica: C-

    You Bet Your Life: D+

I don't know? I couldn't bring these grades home to Mom! So they are both "C" to "C-" albums. Not good!

  4. Roll the Bones;

    Dreamline > Show Don't Tell

    Bravado > Chain lighting

Roll the Bones < The Pass

    Face Up < War Paint

    Where's my thing? > Scars

    The Big Wheel < Superconductor

    Heresey > Anagram (for Mongo)

Ghost of a Chance > Red Tide

    Neurotica > Hand over First

You bet your Life < Available Light

So Roll the Bones wins out 6 to 4

And that's the way I see it!

I don't disagree with that breakdown, but I still prefer Presto as an album...which strikes me as weird.

I think it may be the Sound/ Mixing of the Album. I think Presto Sounds better.... I think? :scared:

  5. It would be Nice to See a Reunion Tour with about 6 to 7 songs they've never played Live:

    Set 1:

    1.Instrumedley: (Working Man/ Fly By Night/ Bastille Day/ A Passage to Bangkok/ Cygnus X-1/ Prelude)

    2. Spirit of the Radio

    3. Caravan

    4. Chain Lightning

    5. Cut to the Chase

    6. Alien Shore

    7. Gangster of Boats (Where's my Thing/ Leave that Thing Alone / Limbo)

    8. Freewill

    9 Headlong Flight

    Set 2:

    10. The Big money

    11. Subdivisions

    12. Distant Early Warning

    13. Open Secrets

    14. Different Strings

    15. Sweet Miracle

    16. Available Light

    18. Xanadu

    Encore :

    19. Limelight

  7. I'm telling you guys its there. it very subtle and happens very quickly but it's there. First I saw half the circle/ star carved into the cement floor. and i started thinking." man that looks like the 2112 star". then boom Spider man fell right on to it just like the emblem. it was very zoomed in and soon started breaking up right after, i think it was the part where all the Drones were first attacking him. All i know is that there's a Rush fan somewhere in the CGI room that pulled this off. or who knows many its Jon Favreau himself. hey Star Wars Fans and Rush fans walk hand in hand! as my Avatar suggest!
  8. There is no Rush.

Hopefully though Geddy and Al will do something soon.

I agree, They need to do something! A Lee Lifeson Tour would be nice like this they can play songs from their Solo albums with Mike Portnoy on drums.

    Possible Setlist:

    Set 1:

    1. 2112 Overture/ Temples of Syrinx

    2. Caravan

    3. Far Cry

    4. My Favorite Headache -Lee Solo Album

    5. Promise - Lifesone Solo Album

    6. Cut to the Chase (Never Played Live)

    7. Distant Early Warning

    8. Freewill

    9. Red Barchetta

    10. La VillaStrangiato

    11. Xanadu

    Set 2:

    10: Limelight

    11. The Big Money

    12. New World Man

    13. YYZ (Drum Solo)

    14. Show Don't Tell

    15. Open Secrets (Never played Live)

    22:Tom Sawyer

    22: Archives Medley:

    Finding My Way/ By-Tor & the Snowdog / The Necromancer/

Bastille Day/ Fly By Night/ Working Man

    Encore2:

    24: Instrumedley:

    Hemispheres Prelude/ Cygnus X1/ Finale

  9. Did anyone notice this Easter Egg in Far from Home? Half way through the movie they show a concrete Rush Star on the floor and then right after Spiderman falls on it just like Starman. It was like "Man that looks just like the Rush 2112 Star, then Boom Spiderman falls on it just like the Rush Emblem. its very quick but there!

  10. They're done, move on. There's really no other way to say it. They left us a lot of great music to continue to enjoy for years to come. Releasing new material without touring probably isn't gonna benefit them financially since album sales these days are so bad.

Are there other bands you really like that are still active? Throw your Rush enthusiasm into them. Sure, they can't take the place of Rush but don't keep hanging on for something new to happen with them. It will only lead to disappointment.

Oh I know! I've been listening to Sons of Apollo alot lately and promise of a new Dream Theater album is uplifitng. I enjoyed Roger Water last Solo Album as well as many other progressive venture out there. But there's nothing like listening to New RUSH!

  11. Am I the only one jonesing for some RUSH right about now? This usually happens about now for me. Its been nearly 3 years from that last fateful show in August of 2015 at the Forum in LA. Where they played my favorite Song Losing It. Now, I understand their desire to stop touring due to aging but what about some new music. Even a compilation of instrumentals with a few new Instruments thrown in would be nice. Anything really. RUSH has been the Soundtrack to my life and it feels life cant continue with out them. I've bought the Anniversary Disk to 2112 and Farewell to Kings but those were just a distraction really. I need some new RUSH! I mean Clockwork Angels was a masterpiece IMHO! Can you Imagine what would come next?

  12. I don t think they should ever tour as :rush: without Neil! However Geddy and Alex sure deserve to tour on their own. They both have Solo Albums and a slough of great unplayed RUSH songs to choose from, They can bring along a great drummer like Mike Portnoy to cover the Epic RUSH songs. They can even record a joint Album called L.L.P.

(Lee, Lifeson & Portnoy Tour) would be cool! anything to hear Geddy and Alex at it again!!!

    :Alex: :geddy:
