  1. I've been away for several years now. Wow time has flown by but I can remember the name Loraine many years ago. I'll miss her hoping ALL was peaceful in the end.

    ✌️ rest in it.

  2. What a year the Bruins are having. Up and down and all around. At least the Bruins won't have the best record in the league this year.

Going to see the Bruins when they come to S Florida on the 26th of this month. One of my guys at work his nephew Carlo a defenseman with the B's. He says he can get me a swat behind the Bruins bench. We shall 👀. ✌️

  3. I can recall Neil cringe when people would pronounce it Pert. When most know it to be Pear-t.

Similar I'll make corrections to people spelling my name Earl when it's spelt EARLE.✌️

  4. This IS the album that got me started in being the RUSHNUT that I'm. It was my first tour, concert and contains my #1 RUSH song RSA. Also the song has a relationship to my #1 RUSH moment in the 50 live shows I've seen since 11/84 Hampton VA.

They better get this right with something new with added new live songs from this epic tour. Just make it special for my sake please. ✌️

  5. Sadly I could not see the game, just updates from a sports channel on Boston teams. I especially like to watch Blackhawk games when they play the Bruins in part because of those impressive Hawks red or white jerseys. If I could EVER wear another team's jersey it would be the Blackhawks, I can't but that would be the one. The Bruins will ALWAYS be #1 for me though.

That said a great road win just to keep up with a win from the Leafs. I'd like the B's to get into 3rd place for playoff positioning I think would be best for them.

  6. The impact of NEP’s death hit me when I first heard of his death. When my daughter called me on my way to work at night, I literally drove off the road into a small ditch. I was in a haze of disbelief that night.

Now I’m long past that now, I smile now knowing I spent so much time, money, energy chasing the band up and down the east coast fifty times seeing them live since 84’. I now am going way back to b4 2112 listening to that catalog of their music that I need to get more familiar. It’s been a wonderful wild ride loving this band, that a lot of my friends can’t stand. However, they give much respect to Neil Peart because he’s the GOAT and a modern day warrior of the drum world.

    Fifty times, you rock!!

I sometimes still wonder at the "reaction" to the news.

For me it had a lot to do with the fact they were quiet for a while, Geddy touring his BBBB, not much news, the End sinking in, some interviews.

Then the announcement of Neil's passing was like a double shot: What?!! And...No Wonder! Holy Sh*t...they're actually DONE. No more Rush, no more debate.

I was outside of myself in that moment of hearing the news on the radio. Long story already told, but I was in an auto-pilot mode for a while.

Well my plan was that it was going to be 53, Tampa, Atlanta, Greensboro (stay with ex in-laws) then my finale back to my former home in Md. There I was going to take my daughter for her birthday. The show was actually in Bristow Va where I always would see them when I lived up that way. However a family emergency came up and I had to cancel those three.

I knew or I felt this was going to be their last tour together. On my lonely 5 hour drive back from Tampa to West Palm Beach I had to pull over 1 o’clock in the morning balling like a baby then crash at some motel. That’s because I knew that show was going to be my very, very last time I was to see my favorite rock band of nearly 300+ concerts. Most of them was working security at the Hampton Coliseum in VA, the busiest concert venue on the east coast and through a international musician friend I’ve followed all over this country and in Europe.

I’ve settled down now, only a few concerts per year except when my friend and his band comes down to South Florida. I’ll follow him for 6-10 dates. Back to Rush, over the years they were always the one band I would look forward to see…..what new lighting they’d have or the set list etc etc. Big sigh, all good things sometimes MUST come to an end and it most certainly did for my favorite band.

  7. https://www.si.com/nfl/2022/02/04/tom-brady-record-against-every-nfl-team

An article and layout from Sports Illustrated on Tom Brady’s record against every NFL. I checked it and it appears he did NOT have losing record against ANY other NFL team. Something I did not know, the team with the best record against him was the Miami Dolphins 12-24.

As for retiring for the moment, I say that because he’s crazy enough to comeback. I wish him well he done more than enough for New England sports. That said the Patriots are will probably STILL be fourth amongst the four major Boston area teams. Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics then the Patriots he couldn’t uplift them in my opinion. Also I’ll never have a liking to that hideous flying Elvis logo. Give me the old logo I’ve been a fan for far toooo long since 1972 to like that flying Elvis…..rant over. Back to sleep.

  8. I think in the end they've expanded the playoffs a little too much. There are teams in there (including my Eagles) that essentially had no business being in the playoffs.

    I get it, $, but...

    100% agree

Clearly the Bengals had no business in the playoffs

Well I must say they did beat some quality teams and I’m predicting they’ll win the Super Bowl as well.

  10. Hello one and all, I hope everyone is doing well as we continue living through this pandemic.

So I get these videos of percussion playing musicians from around the the world I came across this one. Her name is Nandi Bushell and I believe she's from England. She's around 10-11 years, playing drum covers of various bands preferably her favorite metal bands.

She decided to give this song a "try" after seeing an interview where Neil P-eart said the song is very difficult to play. I air drum to it all the time but I just can't up. It's far from my favorite RUSH song but most people have heard it at least once.

Well here she goes giving it a try and check her out on the Chad Smith Show of the Red Hot Chili Peppers with her dad talking about music.....

Also I believe I saw an image of her the cover Modern Drummer, I like what she says at the end.

    Peace
