Damn, more than a year since this topic has seen a post...
Well, long ago, I said I would do a sig for Clockwork Angels once the album was out, and so I have:
http://i337.photobucket.com/albums/n364/gamerx234/Rush%20related%20stuff/rush_cl_sig_zps8e5367de.png
So yeah. I dunno if anyone uses any of these anymore but I had to do this one for completion's sake. I love how this one turned out.

Ah, this is tough, but I'd love to have:
-Xanadu
-La Villa Strangiato
-Natural Science
-Losing It
-The Big Money
And hey, don't hate on Madrigal.
-
Oh hell yes, I was SO excited when I saw this on the RB forums. I am so glad that they're giving us the option to play it in its entirety as one song, too. Definitely buying it as soon as it comes to the PlayStation store next week.
-
It's DEFINITELY live.
If you're referring to this video about the fake crowd:
That's cause GH/RB have fake crowd audio playing on all of the songs. Most of the time they're louder than crowds from live recordings if the song being played is a live version.
-
I'll shed some light on the TSoR mystery:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirit_of_Radio
In the article, it says this: "An unreleased live version of the song is featured in the video game Guitar Hero 5. This version is taken from a live performance at the Apollo in Manchester, England on June 17, 1980, on the Permanent Waves Tour."
Since the version RB3 got is pretty much the exact same one from GH5, I'll have to take Wiki's word for it. Perhaps someone with a boot of that show can confirm it for us?
Anyway, AWESOME pack. All the songs were awesome to play on drums and vocals. I have yet to play them on Guitar/Bass/Keyboards but I'm sure they're just as awesome on those (maybe not as much on keys on TSoR but meh).
-
I find myself listening to the P/G Tour version of Spirit of Radio more than the studio version. I just love that version more.
Also, I love this version of Bravado very much:
-
I call drums! (I'm a PS3er, just so ya know...hope there are others)
-
So excited for this, and the fact that there's gonna be more Rush on the way. Of the three this week I'm actually really excited for Caravan, but the other two songs are still gonna be hella fun.

Yeah it's a rumor at the moment but man I really hope this is true, and if true I hope they let us play it straight through with no interruptions. It'll easily be my most favorite DLC for Rock Band this year if it comes out before the end of the year.

I seriously don't get the love for the talking parts in Double Agent. IMO, a decent song ruined by those spoken word sections. They're so cringe-worthy. Maybe it'll grow on me in the future, I have no idea, but for now...bleh. The rest of the song is okay, though. As for the rap, I love that part far more than the spoken words on DA, even if it's just as silly.

This is a tough one...but Animate has to go down. It's just not quite on the same level of awesomeness as everything else on the list.
-
Well, actually, the vocals sound like a different take than the one that's heard on the album version. Listen to the lines "...or the misfit so alone," and "...the restless dreams of youth". The way Geddy sings them on the vid you put up sound a bit different than the album version. There are other instances like this in the vocals on your mix.
Here's the RB release of the song:
Sorry, I just love pointing out little things like this sometimes.
-
I'm assuming these are ripped from the Rock Band release of Subdivisions, as the vocals are entirely different from the original album version.
It's real nice to hear those instruments and Ged's voice so clearly.
-
I use Witch Hunt (from "Those who know..." to a few seconds after "...save us from ourselves") for when friends call, and the intro of Tom Sawyer (up to "...mean, mean pride") for when family calls. I'm thinking about changing one or both soon, though.
-
The synth era has to be my favorite era from them. Almost no songs from this era that I dislike.
As for my choice, it has to be Subdivisions. That songs speaks so much to me, plus, it's just musically brilliant. Damn near perfect, if not already perfect! Mission, Marathon, and Between the Wheels are all honorable mentions from me.
-
...and Alex shot himself during the performance, while Geddy broke into tears and Neil...just kept playing.
-
I have an FB account, however, I barely take any advantage of it. I mainly just have it to keep in touch with some old friends and some family members. Also, I visit RIAB practically ever day, so this doesn't matter too much to me. But hey, I guess it could attract more people to the actual site.

QUOTE (usb_connector @ Mar 21 2011, 09:26 PM) QUOTE (Synth Sense @ Mar 7 2011, 04:37 PM) Well, out of boredom I decided to whip up another sig, this one inspired by the Time Machine Tour (I'll definitely do one for Clockwork Angels, obviously not till the album is out, though!)
http://i337.photobucket.com/albums/n364/gamerx234/Rush%20related%20stuff/rush_tm_sig.jpg
I'll probably end up making a few more for the live albums (particularly All the World's a Stage, Exit...Stage Left, maybe P/G Tour, A Show of Hands, Different Stages, and Rush in Rio). If there happens to be any other major release I'm leaving out and would probably benefit from the SSS (Synth Sense sig ) treatment, lemme know. This is beautiful. Mind if I use it?
Sure, go ahead.

Thanks, Lamelight.
And now, 7 more sigs for your viewing pleasure!

Well, I don't really have any of the Adobe programs on my laptop, so all I really use at the moment is GIMP. It's enough for me at the moment, though as a graphic design major in college I should really get those programs soon, heh heh. That Geddy illustration was made strictly at school.

Illustration of this photo of Geddy: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/fd/GeddyLee.JPG ...that I made in Adobe Illustrator (CS5), this was for a project for one of my classes. Imageshack screwed up a bit and changed the colors (I was working in CMYK mode when I made this so that's probably why), but I guess this still looks fine. I'll probably finish this some other time, as it's not entirely complete. I almost went insane when I did this, especially when making the face and hair.

Drawing of Alex I did a while back. I thought it was ok. There's also one of Geddy (somewhat incomplete) I did and I...never did one of Neil but I planned to. Perhaps I can get them done and upload those later on.
