Some kid back in high school who thought I was an idiot for liking the band apologized to me when Counterparts came out, because "Dude, Stick It Out rocks". Lolpwnt.

  1. 'Vapor Trails' This one was a real grower. First time I listened to it, my response was something along the lines of "This sucks". Took about three or four listens before I suddenly realized that I actually liked the album, and from then to this day I really can't get enough of it. It seems to exist in its own little world, not really sounding like any of the other Rush albums, and not really sounding like anything else by anyone else. The damn thing is an abrasive, chaotic masterpiece.
  2. "By-Tor & the Snow Dog", mainly for the really chaotic jam-out/"battle" section of the song. This is also the highlight of 'All the World's A Stage' for me, because of the craziness that Alex throws down, especially during the quiet part of the song (which isn't quite so quiet on that live album...those are some seriously freaky guitar noises).
  3. "Working Man" - I dig the Black Sabbath-ishness to this track. "Finding My Way" is a close second though, if for no other reason than the killer opening riff, and Geddy's impression of an overcaffeinated Robert Plant - "OOOH YAYUH OOOH YAYUH FINDING MY WAAAAY!!"
