  1. Glad you had a great time. Just wasnt in the cards for me to make the trip this year. The Garden is a really fun song to play. I know we have enjoyed playing it the last several months and it's a very special song indeed. Losing It is 1 of my all time favorite songs. Would have love to hear that, and you definitely need a violin for that song.
  2. Mission is a heavy keyboard song, as well as Superconductor. Those sound like good choices to add to our setlist.
  3. Being a keyboard player in a Rush tribute band (and that's all I do... No bass or vocals) I can say that Jacobs Ladder is a very heavy keyboard song. I use 2 keyboards at a time, plus PK-5 pedal (knock off Taurus pedals). Other heavy keyboard songs I do are: Chemistry Countdown Between The Wheels The Garden Subdivisions Xanadu Prime Mover Marathon The Camera Eye Ghost of a Chance The Analog Kid Witch Hunt
  4. Which song would you most like to hear performed by a Rush Tribute band from the album Presto?
  5. Updated poster. We will be performing ALL of Moving Pictures from start to finish. http://images.craigslist.org/00k0k_gcyYwaN1NAs_600x450.jpg
  6. Calling all Rochester/Syracuse/Torono fans as well. http://www.distantsignals.net/The_forvm_promo_poster.jpg
  7. Great minds think alike Kenny. While we didn't make the Top 3, we chose not to do obvious songs as well. Freewill (ok that's obvious but it was necessary to show the vocal range from our singer), Dreamline, and The Garden. We only had 3 weeks to get a recording done, and well that just wasnt enough time to get it done better. Congrats on making it to the Top 3. Still need to check you guys out live sometime. maybe over the summer?
  8. You are right Kenny. If one let's Jacobs Ladder get away, it can very easily train wreck, and there is no recovering from that. :) Lorraine - The music sounds simple but some of it is quite complex with many time signature changes and patterns. It's really fun to play :)
  9. On behalf of my band mates (who play most of the songs already mentioned): Timing the outro solo of Freewill can be tricky. All of the timing in La Villa with all instruments. And not yet mentioned..... Most of Jacobs Ladder with the keys, guitar and drums The beginning of Countdown with the syncopation of the keys, drums and vocals
  10. Thanks for the clarification. I'm sure good old GPS will help us along the way :) Hope to see you at the show
  11. Only a 1 hour road trip and there is a motel directly across the street you can walk to. Bring a friend to share the room and don't miss out on this epic event. We've tried to get into the Rochester area. No luck
  12. We'll play anywhere, as long as fans help with supplying higher end venues that would be interested in a Rush tribute. We'll entertain playing anywhere, it just has to be a conducive market, right sized venue with a big enough stage.
  13. sound off west side NY fans. Don't miss this special epic event!! https://m.facebook.c...ilter=upcoming#
  14. Thank you Cygnus 2112.
  15. From my bands show this past weekend. http://youtu.be/OUFB9FkFL1Y
  16. I've been booking my band for 5 years. It's an arduous task. The most frustrating thing about the whole process is the "no response" from venues or promoters. I spend alot of time updating our website with current content like videos, photos, upcoming shows, etc... and it's a 1 stop shopping experience that will answer any question they might have about the band. Sadly, I have reached out to over 50 venues (locally and out of state) specifically targeting venues that have "tribute acts" already lined up and NEVER get as much as even a response email back saying "thanks but no thanks". Sheer and utter ignorance and total disregard the email was ever recieved. But I keep trying and once in a great while I'll get a little nibble. You too will have success if you keep it up. Have patience and the more you grow, the more you'll get notice. Best of luck!!!
  17. Tomorrow night. Calling all OHIO Rush fans. Don't miss this show!!!
  18. Have a great show kRUSH!!! I encourage all RUSH fans to get out and catch a kRUSH show or my band (which we are in middle of our 2014 tour hopefully coming to a city near you). Alot of effort is put into these shows and we appreciate meeting new fans, or at the very least "spread the word" about these Rush tributes.
  19. We'll we will be in Buffalo on June 28th. We'd love for you to come check us out in person
  20. Thanks for the feedback
