Is it Over?
in Rush
No more touring. Maybe record an album, and possibly a tiny handful of shows to play it live. Thats it.
Isn't even a "handful of shows" still "touring"? If not, then what number of shows constitutes "touring"?
I think the handful would be more of an engagement. Id characterize touring what we just got with R40.

Thought SnA was the best live album in terms of mix.
It was also the best in terms of setlist.

Yes it has.

IRON MAIDEN
That is all.
This is the correct answer. For the next few years (until they themselves pack it in), Maiden fills the void.

A residency at MSG will never happen. They're not Billy Joel or Springsteen.

Got an email from amazon saying the Signals release is delayed until September.

Us DC boys gotta stick together. Not sure of your age but if you are old like me then us old dudes gotta stick together too ... :cheers:Excellent song. Excellent album. Pretty much the last one in my view although Grace Under Pressure was very good. The rest since all pale in comparison for various reasons in my view. Not a view shared by all or many I realize...
Agree completely with this statement.
Ha - totally agree! We have good taste no question. (for the record early 40s)

Love this *very* defensible tune. Excellent deep cut. Glad I got to hear it live before it was dropped on the Signals tour.

New World Tour (Signals): 12/2/82 MSG
Grace Under Pressure Warm Up Tour: 9/22/83 Radio City
Grace Under Pressure Tour: 9/17/84 MSG
No Rush tour came close to touching these until R40.

One of my all time favorites, such an underrated tune. As a kid, I used to think it was somehow related to the 2112 story.

I think the only "special" thing theyll do is break out Losing It. Otherwise, will be the same rotation. Theyve never been apt to go off script or make much ado over a final show of a tour.

I really dont see a week of shows at Massey Hall or Radio City, if anything they'll tour like David Gilmour, 4 or 5 cities 2 nights each.
Thats possible too. Either way, very limited run

The Signals candy apple red Tama setup is my personal favorite.

Every Rush fan deserves to see this incredible show, but just don't see a 2nd leg happening. LA will be it.
Prediction is theyll release a new album in a couple years, and then, for the satisfaction of playing said album live, will have a handful of shows at smaller venues (ie. radio city, massey, etc), no residencies. There wont be an album tour, or any trips down memory lane - thats what R40 has been.
