can anyone recommend any good DS games?

The World Ends With You (experimental action RPG*)

Shin Megami Tensei - Strange Journey (RPG/dungeon crawl*)

Advance Wars - Days of Ruin (srpg)

    AW - Dual Strike (srpg)

    the Phoenix Wright/Apollo Justice games

Castlevania - Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia Never been a bad Castlevania

Soul of Darkness (dsware game, copy of castlevania)

Chrono Trigger (rpg*) Definitely have to check this one out, I've been hearing about it from everyone i know

Disgaea DS (ridiculously in-depth srpg*) I'd guess something Final Fantasy-like?

Dragon Quest IV, V, VI, XI (rpg)

Fire Emblem - Shadow Dragon (srpg)

Golden Sun - Dark Dawn (coming out later this year, rpg*) Looks sweet from the trailers I've found

Izuna 1 and 2 (rpg, dungeon crawl, roguelike)

Kingdom Hearts - 358/2 Days (action rpg, only if you like KH*) Bought it, then my girlfriend stole it. Kind of a proud moment

The Legend of Zelda - Phantom Hourglass (action rpg)

tLoZ - Spirit Tracks (action rpg) already played through, good game

Luminous Arc 1 and 2 (srpg)

Mario and Luigi - Partners in Time (action rpg*)

Mario and Luigi - Bowsers Inside Story (action rpg*)

    Mario Kart DS (racing)

    Megaman ZX (platformer)

    Megaman ZX Advent (platformer)

    Metroid Prime Hunters (FPS*)

    New Super Mario Bros. (platformer*)

Okamiden (coming out later this year, hopefully*)

Resident Evil - Deadly Silence (survival horror) Impossible to find a copy of so far, but I'll get one somewhere. Did they make the gameplay too touchscreen-heavy?

Rune Factory 1 and 2 (farm sim/action rpg)

Suikoden Tierkreis (rpg, painfully easy if you're experienced in the genre though)

    Super Mario 64 DS (platformer)

    Yoshis Island DS (platformer)

    *must plays/check out

if you don't like RPG's... I can't help you haha.

Damn bro, I think you're my new best friend! Usually a question like that gets me "uh..... maybe a zelda game?"

    and who doesn't like RPGs?

If you have an older model DS (with a GBA slot), definitely play Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow if you haven't already. If you like how Golden Sun 3 looks, you'll definitely want to play the originals first. Golden Sun and GS: The Lost Age came out on GBA and were probably the best RPG's for the system. Used copies of them shouldn't be hard to find, but if you can't track them down just ROM them to get ready for the third... which I'm super mega excited for biggrin.gif

And Disgaea is... not so much like FF. It has gameplay similar to FF tactics (or Advance Wars, Fire Emblem, etc.). It's grid and turn based, tactical RPG battles. Only with a high learning curve and a crazy amount of depth.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disgaea#Gameplay

read that section of the article to get a decent handle on exactly what you'd be getting into if you invested in the game laugh.gif

And yeh, Chrono Trigger is a classic, make sure you give it a go.

Andddd... a lot of people don't like RPG's. I sometimes have trouble understanding why, but they exist laugh.gif

Yep, I just bought my DS Lite literally a month ago. (to put things in perspective, my last big upgrade was a PS2, last summer tongue.gif)

I bought Dementium II, Kingdom Hearts, Castlevania, and Pokemon Platinum. yes, weird list.

Thanks for all the info, these look sweet

    Absolutely gorgeous....

  5. found a couple of sites (i've ordered from both, they're secure) that sell butterfly knives and auto knives without requiring you to be either a business owner or federal government/military. Very cool for collectors.

    http://www.swordsswords.com/

sells butterfly knives and some cool spring assists, but requires a form for auto knives.

    http://assistedknife.com/

can and will sell you anything on their site without requiring a form (they do this risk-free by assuming that you know your local laws and wouldn't order anything you couldn't legally own.)

  6. got some real nice orange stuff from a friend. got a little over two grams for 15$ 1022.gif

anyone heard of sprinkling tiny flakes of chewing gum over their bowl to add flavor? It's supposed to be amazing, but i'm a bit hesitant

  7. Finding out through my mom that my uncle and grandmother have been complaining about my girlfriend behind her back and mine. my uncle had the balls to compare her to a woman who got kicked out of rehab for screwing too many of the "inmates", but he can't say a f***ing word to me. My little family just got smaller.
  8. My main carry blade depends on my mood, and location, but I try to stick to my spring-assisted Tomahawk, or Smith and Wesson Kerambit. both are insanely durable, and you can find either for about $10.

The Kerambit, only mine is half serrated (which i don't like)

I'm considering getting rid of all three and going with either a Bokker or Benchmade.

You can't go wrong with either of those, bud! new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif I really recommend that Subcom F that I carry. It's designed by a Philippino martial arts expert, Chad Banos, and it's supposed to be virtually impossible to dislodge from your hand once you've goit a grip on it. Plus, it's small size makes it less alarming should you pull it in front of other people for utility work. I love the blade design, it reminds me of a shark's tooth.

Gotta love Boker, the Germans make dependable stuff. I'd advise you to stay away from Benchmade though. extremely overpriced, and most of their models are stolen designs. you can read about it at Assistedknife.com, but i'll warn you that the owner likes to swear (and rap, apparently...)

I hope I can find this goodness in Canada!  I'd love to use it to construct a new variation of my bacon bombs where instead of just BBQ hot sauce on the inside it will be mixed it with this kick ass goop!

I agree you can never have too much bacon and I'd also love to dip bacon into it!

And nice to see you back southernjim!

    trink39.gif

Thanks for the link. For us hosers up in Canada that would be $6 of goop plus $20 shipping, so I think I'll hold off on that until my Rush tickets are paid off.

You might be able to make your own. Homemade mayo is easy (and delicious). I'd think you could just add seasoning to taste, then throw a few pieces of bacon into the food processor and set it on "mutilate". Mix well into the mayo and there you go.

that's about what I figured, but somehow the people that came up with this stuff managed to make it less heart-stopping than regular mayonnaise
