  1. Well, I mailed out my Signals LP cover to Buffalo this morning and was told it would arrive by this coming Monday.

I mailed it out in a flat-rate Priority envelope, which was roughly $13.00 and am having it returned in a prepaid, large cardboard envelope. From Buffalo to The Bronx was close to $7.00.

Hopefully all will go as well as it did during the last round in North Carolina :dweez:

  2. Success from Greensboro, NC! Received my Hemispheres LP signed by all 3! Very happy guy here today. It is a gift for my son's birthday, so they personalized it to him.

    On cloud 9!

Sweet! Let's hope we have the same succeess with the items we are sending to Buffalo.

I will be mailing mine out, from The Bronx, NY, Thursday.

  3. So what sort of packaging are you guys using when you send album covers to be signed? I was going to go with a large padded envelope but a friend who works for the post office advised that I use a box instead because she would worry about it still getting bent up. I told her that sounds great in theory, but then I have to have a return envelope/box. She said I could get a prepaid return label that can stick on and they can use the same box. I don't think this will work because chances are, whoever opens the box will damage it to where it can't even be reused.

So I may stick with the padded envelope and hope for the best.

Not to be crazy anal, but I ship a decent amount of vinyl, so I basically put the album jacket inside a 12X12 vinyl mailer box (with cardboard for reinforcement) along with the Sharpie. That has postage on it with my address so they can just seal it up, drop it in the mail, and get it back to me.

But all of that goes inside a slightly BIGGER box (13X13) and that's what is shipped to the venue. Along with a note explaining what it is!

It just got accepted by the front desk at Greensboro yesterday... Fingers crossed.

The vinyl mailer box for the return sounds good, but how do THEY seal it for you?

  4. I just got confirmation from the First Niagara Center in Buffalo. They will forward fan mail to the tour management

Thanks for this info; I did not think I had enough time to mail an LP cover to one of the venues next week.

I bet if you mail something to Buffalo a week before the show you'll make it in time

Thanks; the gig in Buffalo is on Wednesday, June 10th :-)

Here is the address from their site for anyone who is interested:

    First Niagara Center

One Seymour H. Knox III Plaza

    Buffalo, New York, 14203-3096

Yes, thanks, I am sending my Hemispheres album cover there. I am sending it to Liam Birt's attn so hopefully he gets it back to me. :)

I'm sending a Signals LP cover myself. :-)

  7. Many thanks for the info; I think I'll give that one a shot.

Here's the address info for anyone interested:

    Greensboro Coliseum Complex

This gig is on May 28th, so we still have time!

Well - I know Greensboro will accept things and get it to the band. I'm attending that show and sending a drum head to be signed by the boys.

  8. Many thanks for the info; I think I'll give that one a shot. Would you have the mailing address and any other necessary info for that venue?

  9. Howdy all,

It is good to see RUSH is coming back around for another tour, and as I missed out the last time in getting my LP copy of Signals signed, I was wondering which venue on the current tour in the U.S. would be the best bet for having this done this time.

I will be attending the Prudential Center show, and I know MSG in NYC is generally out; could anyone direct me to the best possible venues to have an item shipped to to be signed?

    Thanks in advance.

    Peace,

    Jeff

  10. Hey all,

I am looking for one of the 1983 Rush WAPP Radio Signals Tour Radio City Music Hall stickers that were given out outside of the venue before the shows each night. The September 22, 1983 Signals show was my first RUSH gig and my original sticker is old, faded and can't be reused.

I have a plain Signals Tour Backstage Pass that I could trade in exchange.

    Thanks in advance.

    Peace,

My wife and I were there in section 15, lower bowl. The sound IMHO was perfect from there. Ged sounded great and was right on target as far as I'm concerned. Overall the band was excellant. We also sat with some nice people on both sides of us. It's not to often you can hang with a lot of people and get into some deep discussions about your favorite band.

I was in this section as well; the sound was terrific. If I had been on time it would have been even better.

  12. Howdy,

After several mishaps where I was to meet a friend, waited on the downtown IRT platform for over an hour to later discover he'd gone straight to Brooklyn, I made it there over a half an hour into the show. By then my friend had gone, and his ticket went to waste.

This was a downer for two reasons: for one I had planned on recording the performance, and while I did and the sound is good for what I did catch, I do not have much of the first set. Secondly, in missing the beginning the flow of this gig did not work for me and it wasn't till the final 40 minutes after they had finished the Clockwork Angels material that I was able to get into it. I was so disconcerted by my experiences I didn't even buy a t-shirt as I always do after a gig.

I am hoping they return next year on a second leg of this tour so I have the opportunity to see this show in it's entirety.

I will be editing my portion of the show and uploading it later this week. Perhaps I, or someone else, could create a matrix with someone elses recording of the first set. From what I've heard this is one of my best.

    Peace,

    Jeff

I actually got calls back from 3 additional venues on this leg of the US tour and they will forward items to the band. Just no guarantee what happens after its forwarded to them.

Yes, which ones are best? And where is the Palace?

Guys and gals, I posted it somewhere around here but I addressed it to Rush c/o Liam and the Venue and address. Received the signed pic about 2 weeks after the show.

I would NOT advise sending anything to MSG to be signed. I have tried to get stuff signed by various people/acts and MSG has just about the worst policies regarding getting items to them. Usually it just gets sent back with no explanation, but I actually did get a letter once from MSG management stating that they did not have time to distribute items.

    Howdy all,

Since MSG is out, and this is where I will be seeing RUSH in April, which venue looks like it would be the best to send an item to?

    Thanks.

    Peace,
