My first RUSH concert at radio City Music Hall on September 22, 1983 was the first *real* concert I attended. While this period in my life was one of the darkest in memory this particular RUSH gig stands out as one of the bright points. I was hanging with a new, soon to be good friend, seeing a band that I never thought I would and was able to forget my painful to remember ex-girlfriend who'd broken up with me over nine months before. That, and being dubbed the New World Man by my close friend Herb made this night, and concert, exceptional.

  1. What is the fabric on the blue shirt like? Is it softer than the black shirts were?
  2. It is actually a lot more comfortable than the heavier black cotton shirts are and although it is a blend the fact it's gray it is somewhat cooler to wear in the sun.
  3. When I felt the fabric on the black shirts and realized I would probably never wear the one I was going to buy because of it I swapped it for a gray Dalmatian one and paid the extra $10 for it. Hopefully the ones I have ordered, the blue tour shirt and black skull shirts will be just as comfortable.
  4. I just bought four more R40 shirts myself, one for my brother and three for myself. This was after getting two more gray R40 Dalmatian shirts and a replacement Time Machine tourbook. You just gotta love Geddy, Alex and Neil!
  5. Which shirt are you referring to? The one that has the beach and the seagull and the big red R40 at the top. I almost bought that one as well, but didn't like the feel of it and figured I'd never wear it more than once.
  6. Which shirt are you referring to?
  7. I'd like a second Rush Dalmatian Tour Tee as the one I picket up after the Newark, NJ gig has become my latest favorite shirt. Hopefully Rush's site will get them back in stock. Were any still available at the most recent shows?
  8. Hey Jeff, If anything, with all the fancy packaging and other precautions you have been taking, from my own experience, and many others I have read of here, it sounds like you have done everything *right*. Considering all you have done, and have still been unsuccessful, I find my first, and only attempt of this in getting my Signals LP cover signed, even more ironic than ever. But I did get it back, signed. If there are any other venues who are still accepting and forwarding mail to the band, give it another shot; the law of averages dictates you will be successful eventually, and you should not give up now. Roll them bones, baby! Peace, Jeff
  9. Thank you very much! You should modify that address as follows: Rush--R40 Tour c/o Liam Birt KeyArena 305 Harrison St. Seattle, WA 98109 That's the format most of *us have been using, and the success rate has been pretty good.

  11. Looking at some of the signed items listed on Ebay, real and fraudulent, it's a major drag anyone would go through the effort to get an item signed only try to make money off of it.
  12. I found it ironic, but also very, very cool that the first item I ever sent, a Signals LP cover, was signed by Alex, Geddy and Neil, and despite my return package not being taped shut, was still returned to me in excellent shape. I would never tempt fate by doing this again, at least on this tour, unless I were doing it as a surprise for someone else.
  13. Actually considering the sheer number of letters and packages they handle, the USPS is far superior compared to other delivery services, most notably UPS, than anyone else. While I have been trading, buying and sending packages out in over the past 30 years I can recall less than a half a dozen times, in literally thousands, where a package that was sent to or from me did not make it's way to it's intended destination. As long as your letter or package is a reasionable size, clearly labled and the postage is sufficient you have a far greater chance of getting your stuff back through them than any other mailing or shipping service.
  14. Wow! How'd you get this to post?
