Good for Neil & how he wants to expand his drumming horizons. BTW...I harbor no ill feelings towards Neil. Neil is the reason why I got into drumming. Hemispheres is what did it for me in the 8th grade. What he does, he does well. Why he's so anti-social is beyond me. Very unlike the overwhelming majority of professional musicians. But whatever. Thats his deal. Doesn't effect my life one iota. What started out as me telling a bunch of close friends on HOD about Freddys B-day took on a life of its own. Freddy has been a close freind of mine for some 26 years now. Freddy personally called me to come down that evening. The only problem I had was with Neils stupid assed body guard Michael Mosbiatch. He's a little prick & a liar. Peter Erskine even set the record straight about what happened that night at HOD when this all went down. Back when you guys thought he wasn't a signifigant person in this whole story. If I ever saw him Michael again, I'd bitch slap his little girl ass into tomorrow. Have a nice life little Rush fanboi kiddies. And BTW...get out a little more why dontcha? Try to pry yourself from your computers once in a while. Theres a whole world out there.

And if theres one thing that I see thats consistant recently is how people get maimed and defamed by forums like this and the other one as well. Just amazing. And then when someone who actually does have credibility comes around, you jump on him because HE'S pissed about the crap YOU'RE saying about him on a Rush fanboi website. But even if it happened exactly the way you said, you never got the hint that Neil wasn't approachable that night. You felt snubbed, your ego took a hit, and you posted about it in dramatic fashion on the internet, complete with name-dropping to try and make people think Neil made some grievous error by not talking to you...and here we are. Like you've been told throughout this thread, you brought this on yourself. Even though someone else posted your HOD story here, you can't be surprised it spread to a couple of Rush sites. You know how fast things spread on the internet. Again, if I were you, I'd cut bait here and give this a rest. I suggest you do the same and lock this thread. I got on the phone, and said hello...they both said "Hey...how's it going" "Hey, have you guys ever been to The Clover Trading Company in New York? (I can't remember the exact name, but I believe that's it) They have some really great Egyptian items...etc etc" I proceeded to have a 10 minute conversation with Jimmy Page and Robert Plant and they seemed like they were all over this conversation and just talked and talked away about the influences on the album, and asking me questions about the shop and other places I may have seen. After I hung up, I remember thinking "Well, I just spent 10 minutes talking to a couple of rock legends, and they appeared to have been in to it". For me, what we talked about was really interesting and I don't believe they thought I was some crazed fan. The fact that I was listening to the show probably told them I was a fan. That was a very long winded story, but at the end of it, I believe you are right. Perhaps if I ever saw Neil just standing around looking bored, and wanted to talk to him, I'd talk about motorcycles or something...anything BUT Rush and try to refrain from saying "You are the very best". great post. Most musicians don't have this weirdness about them about being approached by anybody. If you were one, you might understand. The overwhelming majority of the musical community is very open, loving and shares commeradery easily. Especially the Jazz community, which Neil was in the presence of that evening. Hence....NOBODY else was offended by me introducing myself to them the whole evening. At a PRIVATE PARTY which I was invited to personally by Freddy. I could care less about knowing Neil after that stunt by Mobach. And the proof of that is, after it happened. I steered away from Neil till he left. Now...if I was the groupee that you're painting me to be, don't you think I woud have still tried to talk to Neil?

You obviously have a "top drummer jock strap collection" that you must sniff every night, while you hang out in an internet forum for drummers pretending your one of them. By all means, any time you want, do meander back over there and share your scary knowledge of grips, be it on a drum stick or that other stick youve got in your hand most of the time. Oh, and leave Neil alone. Oh no!!! Did I burst your bubble of your great drum god Neil!! Awwwwwww........ Please don't cry. Make sure you circulate this HOD video now so the truth gets out.
