No t4e? Oh well, never heard Animate live!

Lol I'm in the back room at work on hold with another store just mashing the refresh button on my phone. So excited!

When all they needed to play was this clip :)

I found dead center fourth row for 550 a piece. I think that's what I'm getting

They are touring again. It's a win. End of story.

I think (unless its proven to be in the set), that in between the 2nd set and encore, the entire audience should sing "The Sphere." Something to really startle the boys and show our appreciation.

So I have the money ready to go. Found even better, row 3 for $500 a piece. I just wish there was a way to tell which seats they were! I don't want to wind up being way off to the side!

I think I'd rather have fourth row seats at the show 2 hours from me, than have to drive another 2 hours past that for some more "decent" seats. And my wife loves them too! She says any seats are okay with her but she understands if I want to upgrade us to front row. She'll have her eyes on Alex the whole night either way... lol.

I'm still debating. I've never been close enough to have that front row interaction with them. Their music means so much to my life that with this being their final concert and all, I think it might be worth it...

I remember reading a mid tour interview with Neil and he stated they were just trying new tempos for old songs to see how they felt. Limelight grooves MUCH better at the slower tempo, but Freewill needed to be back to the original speed (as played on the TMT). Subdivisions is another one that sounds great pulled back a little tempo wise.
-
KAT is present, Vpads on the floor tom side are present, the cymbals are his modern setup, and the kit is mic'd up. yea...this thing's definitely getting played. It's completely against his playing style now though, going to be very weird to watch lol.
-
What is the chance of better seats opening up on TM? I've never had luck with waiting before.
-
So my wife and I already have tickets to Portland. It's a basketball arena, and our seats are on the side just past midcourt (away from the stage). I'm fine with those seats, even though I've been treated to floor seats (rows 16 and 18) the last two tours.
HOWEVER. I just found a pair of 4th row(!!!!!!!) tickets for just over 1000 total. I could sell our current tickets and move some money around and snag these within the week, but money would be tight for the next few months. Should I splurge or not?!?!?!
(this is probably the WORST place to ask this question lol)

All three guys join up downstage, Alex's guitar is still plugged in as they invite the audience along in singing "The Sphere." They bow afterwards and thank us for 40 years, and that's it.

The pace and feel of the version on Time Machine is unmatched. Not to mention that's probably Alex's most tasteful version of the solo. It's just so perfect.
-
He is so so so underrated. He lacks a lot of the precision he used to have live, but it kind of fits the bands newer live style (and still sounds awesome). But in the studio, the man is a complete MASTER of his craft. The fact that he could turn out the solo in "The Garden" (probably his best solo since Limelight) this late in their career should cement him as one of the all time greats.

If the rumor is true, they could be workshopping the R40 medley? I think going from Far Cry to Prelude makes way more sense musically.

Some editing still to be done but I think this is pretty realistic. I truly think they are doing their best to really go out with a bang on this tour.
