    Rivers on Titan!

    Very cool!

Would they be like liquid methane?

Hey... it's dark and cold here... somebody light a match and get a fire going! laugh.gif

As you may have noticed, I'm a Python fan but there are a number of others I enjoy as well.

Black Adder- Rowan Atkinson a total crack-up!

    Mr. Bean- See above comment.

    Thin Blue Line- once again...^

Fawlty Towers- John Cleese is insane!

The Young Ones- raunchy good fun!

The Last of the Summer Wine- Old folks...crazy situations!

Keeping Up Appearences- It's not Bucket it's Bouquet!

Are you Being Served- Are you free?

Any other good ones that I did not mention? Feel free to post your faves!

Those are all great, Sark. (and I, like you, love the MP!)

I've never seen Thin Blue Line. I'm assuming it Rowan Atkinson as well? And I've only ever caught a bit of The Last of the Summer Wine.

By the way, afan - we have the same birthday coming up smile.gif

No way! ohmy.gif How cool is that! biggrin.gif Well, guess I'll be the first to wish you Happy B-Day RR! trink39.gif Here's to us!

  4. I'm really suprised that NOBODY in any media that I've seen or read, has addressed this point! sad.gif It's drivin' me nuts too, RR! wacko.gif

If they'd just made a mechanical arm that could insert and remove a wired probe. Then they could have stashed a big bag of potatoes onboard and had more battery life than what they had! laugh.gif

I might just call him this weekend... make up some reason about his house to call... we'll see! cool.gif

afan, I swear I have had that exact same thought everytime I read the articles/see pictures, etc.  "Why only like a day of battery???  The thing flew like millions of miles away over a long period of time and what, they throw a couple of AA batteries in it?  laugh.gif "  I mean seriously, why wouldn't they at least do a longer batter life even if still pictures, we may discover something new...  How much extra could the cost have been to put longer lasting batteries in the damn thing?  laugh.gif

Exactly! Me too! You mean to tell me this thing spent like 7+ years in space and right after it lands, the batteries crap out???!!! sad.gif You'd think we could have figured out something else! Anyway, I will ask that guy next time we talk (he live out of town, so it may be a week or so) and I'll find out for us both, RR! new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

I might get stoned for this, but I haven't seen Life of Brian yet...

What??!! ohmy.gif (just razzin the Kazz! wink.gif )

O.K.... for Kazz we gotta do Life of Brian

"He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy!"

I don't think I could watch a MP movie and type. I'd be laughing too hard.

True, true! Better get some rubber pants! laugh.gif

  7. QUOTE (RushRevisited @ Jan 19 2005, 10:13 AM)
Huygen's battery lasted an unexpectedly long three hours....

Anybody know why It was designed to last such a short time? The guy I'm currently building a house for works for the company that builds almost all the batteries that go into space, like the ones on Hubble. I'll ask him the next time he's in town if he did the Huygen's battery too. He said most space batteries NASA uses are 28 volt, in case you were wondering! laugh.gif

One of the joys of the Special Collectors Edition is the inclusion of two scenes dubbed into Japanese, with the Japanese then translated literally into English, presumably by persons unfamiliar with the film.

In this scene, the French taunter is saying "I told a lie"

You're right Madra. That clip is just great, a must see if you haven't already! They totally destroy that scene in the translation. It's a blast to watch. I wonder how bad it was on the rest of the movie?! ohmy.gif laugh.gif . That bonus scene was originally included on the laser disc release (remember those, years ago!) as was one of the 2 audio commentaries now available (the one by "the 2 Terrys"). Hey Madra, have you watched it with the Audio Commentary on? I'm sure you have! Anyone else who hasn't seen it this way, check it out. You get some great insight into the cast and the making of this movie. It's great.

No, no.  That's the way it is, my loves.  Blame the Catholic church for not letting me wear one of those little rubber things.  Oh, they've done some wonderful things in their time.  They preserved the might and majesty, the mystery of the Church of Rome, and the sanctity of the sacraments, the indivisible oneness of the Trinity, but if they'd let me wear one of those little rubber things on the end of my c**k, we wouldn't be in the mess we are now.
