    S&A, it has listenable moments, and is the best effort since Counterparts - how to damn with faint praise biggrin.gif

    I don\'t think he is really. I\'ve heard that the guy who produces his show is the fan, and they just gave them a job lot of XXXXXXXXXL t-shirts when they appeared on his show.

    I have no experience of Mick Pointer's drumming of late, but in Marillion his time keeping -especially live - was as reliable as a British Rail clock. His replacement teh guy from Camel was a good drummer, but had a fragile personality that couldn't cope with raging drunken scotsmen. The guy from Steve Hackett's band could drum and cope with raging Scots.

     

    Think of him as Marillion's Rutsey.

    Do you know why he was fired? He seemed pretty cool to me. I prefer Ian Mosley but never understood why they booted Pointer.

    The original Alex decided that he enjoyed himself more as KK Downing of Judas Priest, so dedicated his life to HEAVY METAL.

     

    Since then a succession of stunt Lerxsts have taken his place, with the difficulties of getting a new Alex resulting in the lengthy hiatus between 1997 and 2002. It does take a while to teach an angry redneck country-music singer to play Rock guitar.
