  1. The stupid doctor who, for the second day in a row, prescribed something for me that I am allergic to. No, he's not my doctor(mine was out of the office), but with computerized files, he has access to all of my allergies. Is it that hard to click on that part of my file?

I had to call the office myself when the pharmacy informed me that he had, prescribed a second medication to correct his first error, and it still contained something on my documented allergy list.

I finally got a hold of my own doctor and got something that would work and I could take.

Why do I have to keep track of this? Isn't that what computerized charting is for?

    Idiots!

  2. Well, for those of us who do notice, Alex's hair has been various shades of yellow in the last few years(at least in front, where he has some), so I'd say yes there.

    I've seen pictures of

Geddy with the gray streak, so yes there.

Neil hides under a hat, and has a huge bald spot, so who knows?

  3. Being asked to make food for a church luncheon, and it not getting used because it wasn't the same kind of rice dish that everyone else made. I was told to make rice, you didn't specify what kind!

    Next time, be more specific!

I'm sure my coworkers will enjoy it tomorrow.

  4. Janie, I just saw this thread.

Lots of hugs and prayers for good news tomorrow.

I've suffered through the callback thing many times, and I'm high risk too.

I hope it's just that they are being over cautious!

    Dear Family,

No, I did not get a 50th birthday party 6 months ago.
That was the sister in law's party.
Now you want me to throw one for the next person in line?

    nice.

    That won't be happening.

    Well played.... new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

It's amazing how people close to you can act like you don't exist....until they need something from you..... confused13.gif

Yeah. It seems they assumed I had a party with the in law,

which wasn't the case. It was just for her.

    People have short memories.

And really, the guy who is next deserves a party, and I'll go to it, but his wife

    can plan one.

ain't that her job anyway? Her hubby her party?

    confused13.gif

yeah, but they want to have it at my house.

    ummmmmmmmm

    no.

Yeah... What's up with that? confused13.gif

    it's bigger.

Well that is the argument anyway.

    It's really not though.

A few days back I checked in at an antique store I had some jewelry in. I was surprised that the pieces hadn't sold. I knew they were nice (not my style though and I went the antique store route because I wanted someone else to have the jewelry who would enjoy it) anyway... I was worried that the pieces were overpriced and just wanted to check up on them. So, I go in, ask about the pieces, they asked if I remembered what particular case they were in, I pointed to one up front, turned back around and saw three employees giving me that, "Ooh, we have bad news" look on their faces. Then I hear, "We just had a robbery and that was one case they targeted."

    Awesome.

    Everything, gone.

and will their insurance company be reimbursing you for the pieces?

it ought to, it's their shop!

and why weren't you told when it happened?

    I smell a rat.

are there any pawn shops in the area? Check there for the stuff. That's what the police told me to do.

(yeah, I know, they should be checking!)

  10. A little history here: During WWII, nylon was scarce, being used for parachutes and such in the war. Silk was not available, and so women shaved their legs to make it look like they wore nylons. Some went so far as to paint a line up the back of their legs to mimic the seam in the nylons.

Skirt lengths were a lot longer then, so they could get away with it, or so they thought.

So that's where it started boys! old.gif
