  1. Almost everyone I met there were from out of state. Including myself.

Same here. Walking around downtown before the show was weird:closed restaurants, nobody there. It seemed like the only people in town had on Rush shirts, and like you said, we were all out-of-towners.

  2. Depending on the venue, it can be great. My first show was in Dallas on row 20, Geddy's side, and it was spectacular (even with the first show bias aside). At the risk of sounding extremely callous, it was also behind a handicap-accessible row, so we didn't... yeah...
  3. The seed was plated, the roots have taken and the trees has grown and will always be there. Sometimes you just have to explore the rest of the forest.

Which TRF member will be the first to use this on his/her spouse/significant other? Science must know.

  4. I won one of the Fat Tire cruisers made by Felt last night!!! My usual bar was having a one year anniversary party & St. Baldrick's fundraiser, so for $20 in raffle tickets, I got this beautiful machine:

  5. A guy at work gave me glass seats for the Stars game last night since he couldn't go. Never been that close, and it was fantastic to see the NHL uniforms back on the ice, even if it was just preseason Stars and Panthers!

  6. JFF seems, at least from our seats, to have kept his head a lot more in check the past 2 games. Sumlin must have really torn him up after the Rice game. Also, even during an early afternoon game, when Kyle Field is usually much quieter because of the heat, I've never heard Kyle Field as loud as it was during the opening minutes of that game yesterday. Absolutely electric. Not to mention when 87,000 lost their collective shits after the 95-yard TD. Hell of an experience, miss sitting in the student section!

Also, here was the view from our seats about 45 minutes before kickoff (9th row, the Zone):

And the scene from Rudder Tower well before the game:
