QUOTE (The_Enemy_Within @ Sep 16 2007, 10:19 AM) GeddyLeefan2112 - Do you mind if I put your sketches on my Ged MySpace page? I really, really like them and I think they'd be a nice touch to the collection of pictures I have on there.
Also, I'll have a picture of the Gedster for all of you soon!Yes you can!!!

share it on ur myspace, k? This is really just a rough draft and I'd rather it wait til it's doneI like it!
Can I make one suggestion though? Soften the outlines on his hands a little bit, there aren't any hard outlines on his face and it looks gorgeous but hard outlines make things look flat and we don't like that!
Really good sketch though I can't wait to see how it turns out, making me want to sketch the Ged-man more.
Thanks
The only reason why there are dark lines is because this is line art to be coloured in - I'm going to be changing the opacity on that layer when I go to colour it That's why some lines need to be dark, so that I can see what I'm doing LOL
Ahhhh gotcha! you're gunna be using that new-fangled computer drawring stuff!
Unfortunately all I know how to use is a wooden pencil
and sometimes paint...
I SHOULD PAINT GEDDY! *has a vision*
yup yup - this will actually be my first digital drawing project I'm excited to do it, but nervous as all hell that I'll fugger it up I'm totally just used to drawing with my pencils too.
I would LOVE to see a painting of Ged! What medium do you use? Oil, acrylic or watercolour?
I've tried oils, but... It's...difficult.
I used tempra, acrylic, watercolor, and guache! (I'm an art student! )
Mostly acrylic and watercolor... I might bring the guaches back out though but I'm not sure they would be appropriate... I would also have to buy a new canvas... I don't want to stretch my own, I'm lazy.
Probably will use acrylic because I'm most comfortable with it but I think I will also work on a watercolor as well.
Oh busy busy! *excited!*
Oh and -- digital drawing is muy difficult... I have a tablet but its kind of sitting on my desk...collecting dust after my first attempts were... I don't even know.
But I don't have photoshop or any good programs like that to work with so I think it might have been that.
honestly the Adobe programs are great - PM me and I'll let you know some interesting info about them
I love paining with acrylics - first off, they dry SO much faster than oils...second, you can mix water with them to get a watercolour effect They are SO easy to work with....I miss painting...I need to get into it again!!!
Acrylics are lovely... they are just so versatile... I've used them on canvas, watercolor paper, board... they just transfer to anything and they can be as thick or as thin as you want them to be! Fast drying time is a plus too.
And I lied... I did do some digital art I liked...on MS paint lol...with a mouse of all things.
I should try Geddy Lee in MS paint!
Good luck with that, eh? I guess if you used a tablet it wouldn't be so bad - but a mouse Just TOO difficult for me...this is about as well as I've done in MS Paint with a mouse:

Yeah I have a wonderful mother that stood in line for 3 hours to get me that Wii...
And wow...nice plates! Envious!
Deviantart is sweet, but unfortunately mine is way outdated as I kind of forgot about it until last week... >.>
I got about 1,000,000 new things I need to put on there. *sigh*
I'll take a look at your stuff for sure though.
I haven't posted much lately - been kinda uninspired, sadly. I really want a new camera - cause the one i've been using, while it's better than my old one, it's still not up to par with the newer digi's out there. I really want a DigiSLR, but I just can't afford it...
Ah, well, c'este la vie
I'm off to bed, hon - it was great talking art with you!! - have a great night
Sweet dreams! Had a blast talking with ya!

yes, Geddy in the RAW would be quite wonderful to behold...and to hold

Maybe I should sketch him in the raw!!!
No no... bad girl.

Geddy Lee EMBODIES hot in its purest form.
My friend (also a Rush fan, went to R30) said that "Geddy Lee is the ugliest human being I have ever seen in my life"
I told him he was just jealous because he could never hope to achieve such a raw sexiness.
I don't know how its possible that people think Geddy is ugly! How dare they!
