Show in Cleveland last night was awesome. I took a bud who had not been exposed to them prior (other than listening to a song or two) and he was blown away. Being fairly new to PT myself we discussed their influences - I had been saying Pink Floyd and Genesis for a year now, but last night I added Nirvana to that mix as well. Not sure what song I heard that in, but it wa one of the later ones on the new CD.
Only disappointing thing for the Cleveland show was I thought the lighting was poor. My first PT show so maybe it is their thing? Or since they were running late (equipment arrived late) they did not set up any additional lighting and only used the house lights. Either way I would have like a litle more light on the guitars if not only during the leads.
They commented they would be back "early next year for the second leg of the tour with diferent songs to play". Looking forward to that!

Excitable Boy - Warren Zevon
"He took little Suzie to the Junior Prom
Excitable Boy they all said
And he raped her and killed her, then he took her home
Excitable boy they all said....
And he dug up her grave and built a cage with her bones
Excitable boy they all said..."

Just had me a bottle of the '07 last night. I have 3 more left, plus a 6 pack of the '08 for next year.
Saving for next year? Does it keep well? Most beers you want to drink while they are relatively fresh. Is it that hard to come by? Must be good stuff!

Looks great on extended desktop (dual monitors). Never had a screen saver that utilized both monitors with different pics going on. Very cool. Thanks

QUOTE (Roddy @ Jun 24 2007, 07:33 PM) The bridge part in 'Freewill'. Easily. Agree with you on this one.
Doesn't make sense that in another thread people seem to think he couldn't do Fly By Night anymore live because of the range when he still does Freewill very well.

You folks seemed pretty enthuised about this band! Now don't blast me, but I saw them with DT last year and thought they were horrible. Given the enthuisasm here I guess I will have to give them another listen. So "Colors" is a good start?
I did come away from that DT show with a new band (for me) to listen to - Opeth! Really enjoyed them and have seen them another time since at a much smaller venue - HOB Cleveland.
BTBAM just reminded me of Linkin Park wanna bees. Again, I'm not looking to be blasted - I will give them another listen.
