  1. I love sneezing but in recent years they sometimes seem to throw me into an asthma attack. I dont have asthma but it feels like i sneeze all the moisture out of my throat and it closes up to where i cant talk and can barely breathe for half a minute or so. Anyone hear of anything like this?
  2. I remember that this was suppose to be the original album cover to Permanent Waves

    permamnet-waves-spread-3-2015-billboard-510-510x502.jpg

thank god they didn't use that..it's boring as f**k.

The idea was they were going to use the band members' actual heart rate graphs after they've been playing for a while.. Something like that.

  3. I'm going to Corvettes at Carlisle to shop for my Corvette. Problem is I'm no longer sure what the hell I want anymore...

Although I’m a Mopar guy I did briefly enjoy C4 ownership back in 2001, every red blooded American gearhead should own a Corvette. My 1996 LT4 was a blast to drive but eventually family situations changed and a few years later the modern Dodge Challenger called to me. As I opened my business in 2014 the fun stuff was sold.

It is time for something other than the family trickster grocery getter. I have a modest budget this time.

    Roger Moore

My wife and I are of the generation that pictures the C3 shape in our minds when someone says Corvette. The C3 is the Roger Moore James Bond of the car world. Stunning in its inception but hung around too long becoming a punchline, yet when someone says James Bond its Roger Moore in the mind’s eye. You don’t see that iconic shape on the road much anymore. Yes the C3 is truly iconic. If you skip the chrome bumper cars it can be a bargain driver. So I was fixated on a 1978-1982 as a fun driver my wife and I can enjoy on weekend road trips. The ultimate goal the 82 CE, fuel injection a nice plus.

Then I made the mistake of looking in the C4 For Sale section…

    Familiar Territory

A fine well cared for ‘96 CE priced right. I always liked that ‘96 CE. Automatic this time so my better half can drive it too. Dependable enough for carefree cross country driving yet I’ve seen this movie before. Been there, done that. The late C4 is a clean shape yet unremarkable but maybe I need to consider the C4 while at Carlisle. The ulitmaite driver bargain…so I thought.

Then I read an article at Road & Track http://www.roadandtr....old-or-bought/

    Modern Day Warrior Mean-Mean Stride

The C5 is the ultimate driving bargain. An LS1, transaxle, hydroform boxed frame, American torque brute. The Corvette that can compete with the best of Europe and Japan. It has everything a guy familiar with modern muscle cars can relate with and enjoy. They are everywhere, seen yet un-noticed. What sane man passes up the C5?

What Corvette do I leave Carlisle with? On the subject, tips for smooth car corral transactions would also be appreciated.

Just get a nice E-body instead like a rag top cuda if you want sporty.. 340 and a 4 speed.. Think about it ;)

  4. Dear The Goose;

What about poor post #4? Did it not meet submission standards? fists%20crying.gif

See, there's this face that's launching ships, and I urgently need directions.

Man does not live by Bread alone...

What about living by Wood alone?

    The eyes have it.

I find Natalie Wood to be absolutely stunning, that is, I am continually stunned by her beauty/facial structure/whachamacallit.

    Dear the Goose;

Is it okay to say "hot damn, Natalie Wood is beautiful"? Or should one refrain from such ejaculations?

Your sentiment is good... Maybe try "Damn, beautiful Natalie Wood is hot", or "Hot Natalie Wood is damn beautiful."

"Natalie damn Wood is beautiful hot!".

    That's the one.

"Hot damn, wood is beautiful", Nancy

  5. I used to listen to Glass Houses all the time for a while when I was young and never really got into Elton heavily but my vote goes to Elton John as a piano player and song writer.

Everything he does sounds good to me, the guy could probably stub his toe, trip and smash his face on the keys on his way to the floor and it would probably sound good.

  6. Does (Air Drumming) count? :D

I love you too you old Salmon Slayer! OF COURSE IT COUNTS!!!

Sometimes my commute home is two hours.

I have to air drum to my stereo to stay cool.

Humans look at me all the time.

They think I'm either crazy or cool.

Sort of like this Forum! LOL!

Only you could say "humans look at me all the time" as a complete sentence!

Thats my kind of drumming Earl, playing along to RUSH strictly just for the fun of it!

Havent played much off HYF for a while but for new stuff i LOVE playing Caravan and Headlong Flight!

Usually its old songs though. My favorite complete album to drum along to is probably Signals. Or maybe MP!

  7. So here we are once again.

    Another night.

    Another poll.

    Another fright.

Another For Whom The Bell Tolls.....

"Red Storm" by STYX is a brand new song. Released to the masses in 2017.

    This song blows me away.

There are sonic sounds on this song that I can't even tell if it's a guitar or a synthesizer. "Natural Scienceish"

    I'm in love once again.

We have always done the cliche redundant Rush "Red" song threads and polls over the years.

Yet finally I think a band has written a song to rival the old and antiquated Red Rush Recordings.

I think "Red Storm" by STYX is better than any RUSH "Red" Song.

I love the bias here so I am willing to take that risk.

With RUSH retired, there really isn't much to type about anyway anymore in this section.

    So let's go!

For all I know this Poll could simply just be "The Grand Illusion."

    Signed,

    "Double Agent"

    Traitor!!!

I'll come back tomorrow when you're in love with Rush again!!

    Double agent is right!

    Signed

    Double double agent

  8. Do you know any?

I'm always amazed at their amazement that they aren't trusted.

I know many liars Lorraine and sadly most are women.

This statement has nothing to do with any woman on the Rush Forum.

I have trust issues with women. Divorce sucks so yes I am tainted.

    I will never marry again.

I used to date after my 20 year marriage ended.

All LIARS. Always texting or talking about their ex lovers or boyfriends. Always after a man's money.

    I am DONE!

    Liars and losers are synonymous.

I would rather listen to "LIES" by Guns And Roses than waste my time, energy and money on a woman.

    Great thread Lorraine.

    I love you.

I feel exactly the same about women but I wouldn't say they lie more than men, might just seem that way..

but damn it sure feels like women are the best liars.. maybe it is true lol

  9. Nazca lines in South America. Similar land images from Egypt in the same area as the Pyramids. You'd have to be EXTREMELY HIGH in the air to make any sense of them. One conclusion. Alien technology to achieve that height. Humans have only had that capability for about 200 years, and the 'land carvings' are thousands of years old. http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/OldRUSHfan/Star%20Trek-Star%20Wars/Alien%20ship%20anim.gif

Meke's sense to me and I agree..

Just like we must use aliens to line our football fields?

Nah, it's a machine that dispenses either chalk powder or some kind of sprayed color substance, goose. PLEASE don't tell me you didn't know this...

Lol. Goose has a point but once you accept that there's probably life on other planets that can travel through space then the alien theory has a little more credibility, not just in how they were made but why..

Ethnocentrism is one thing, but I see nothing wrong with people who are proud of their heritages. Good on them.

If someone's born with lower limb reductions, a genetic accident, then sure they should be proud. A lot of that would be due to what Carlin's saying about achieving yourself, since the child would be adapting to the disability, but there still is nothing wrong with being proud about something innate about you.

All I really took from this George Carlin quote was this: George Carlin doesn't understand the definition of pride.

That's a good point I hadn't really taken into consideration before posting, I agree.

I just googled 'pride' to get an exact definition and judging by my results I think 'pride' means 'gay' now ..

but I wonder why a bunch of aliens drew pictures of monkeys and birds on our planet.. some ET grafitti artists? Taggin planets as they cruise the universe? Reminds me of 'Space Truckin' somehow lol

To think there's ONLY one conclusion seems...wrong. It's ONE POSSIBLE explanation but I can't say there's "one conclusion" especially when that conclusion is still shaky.

Having to "be extremely high in the air to make sense of them" doesn't mean alien tech made it. Why couldn't it just be that humans made the images because they worshipped/believed in those gods and/or aliens and were honoring them?

So this means YOU have another explanation, right JB? Let's here it. or are you just being obtuse to be 'funny'?

    http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/OldRUSHfan/Banana%20World/notworks%20banana.gif

I'm not being funny. There's nothing in my post that even hints at me joking or teasing or ripping. I couldn't have stated myself more simply or sincerely.

And I don't have the answers. I'm saying (again) that having only ONE possible explanation for anything isn't smart. I'm saying you have ONE possible explanation and that there COULD BE other explanations.

Very true. For instance many believe humans came from some other planet originally and the interstellar travel technology was lost over time, the 'evidence' being all the different races of people here. One might argue that it's even more believable than a lot of what religions teach us. Has anyone here heard of the Dogon tribe in Africa? They claim to have originated from Orion and they have ancient cave drawings that show (I think) Sirius as a binary star.. science didn't prove that until we had telescopes that were powerful enough, like a hundred years ago or so..

    Just another theory..
