  1. Not my favourite album, but Manhatten Project kicks ass (as well as being meanmingful and thought provoking)
  2. Enemy Within, because it kicks off "Fear", and neither of the other two got my vote.
  3. New World Man was written in a day, and tells the truth. I think that deserves my vote. So it gets it. (Are we obsesed with third lines here?)
  4. Like everybody, I've got mixed feelings - looks like voting for VS was deviating from the norm.
  5. This is like being asked to pick your favourite child - Natural Science ('cause it's potty trained)
  6. Hooray - Circumstances finally has a vote. I'm glad I could take its poll virginity
  7. Gotta be Xanadu - My 10 year old son also says it's his favourite song of all time because of the guitar just after "frozen in an everlasting view"
  8. Usually I'd say 2112, but right now it's Something for Nothing - It's almost an affirmation that the tyranny of the title track can be overthrown "What you own is your own kingdom What you do is your own glory What you love is your own power What you live is your own story"
  9. QUOTE (CygnusX-1Bk2 @ Aug 24 2004, 06:14 PM) Went with Fountain, because it is their first full length piece, but would also like to add that it could have been divided up, as each tune is stand alone as well as part of the greater whole. In the Valley, Didacts and Narpets, No One At The Bridge, and Bachus Plateau in particular (but that really only leaves out Panacea, since the end is pretty much In the Valley). COS is the first Rush album I ever bought. To learn Bastille Day for the band I was in when I was 12. I agree with Cyg - I voted for Fountain, and if broken up, would say No-one at the Bridge.
  10. Can I just confirm that Eastern Time is NY, which will make it 2am where I am
  11. Yesterday, it was BB&B, tomorrow it'll be BB&B again, but today it's ANTHEM!!!!!
  12. For one of Alex's most exquisite and intense guitar solos - Here Again Technically, his playing improved and developed immensely over the years, but did any other solo ever convey as much emotion??.
  13. Now this surprises me - Tai Shan ahead of Turn the Page?. Having said that, I voted for Prime Mover (even though the keys sounf loke "Enola Gay" by Orchestral Manouveres in the Dark!!!).
  14. Lyrics wise, War Paint, hitting out both at the tyranny of the beauty industry and our complicity with it by slavishly trying to live up to its ideals. Then again, it might just be about trying to get laid
