  1. But what if you want Ted to autograph your shotgun? Will they allow you to bring that?
  2. QUOTE (hazlnut @ Apr 28 2010, 09:33 AM)I've sold tickets on Stubhub and I'm not a broker. Oh sweet foot in mouth. Aren't the prices above face value when they are sold on StubHub? That is scalping. It's still bullshit. I saw Rush on the RTB tour, spent the night outside for tickets, and got 15th row. The guy in front of me got 2nd row. I paid less than $20 for that ticket. It's utterly disgusting what you have to pay for tickets these days, and every time someone pays a broker, StubHub, whatever, more than face value for a ticket - all you're doing is enabling the bad behavior. Now that TM has gotten into the game, something really needs to be done about it.
  3. QUOTE (Drumnut @ Apr 27 2010, 01:56 PM) I just bought 2 tickets for The MGM show in Las Vegas. Section Lower 11 row W for $450.00 from Stub Hub. I don't really care where I sit, I just want to be in the building. If I can trade up for better seats, great, if not, I'm happy with just being there. Ticket brokers are crooks, plain and simple. Oh sweet irony. What do you think StubHub is?
  4. Maybe this time the Geddy Lee Chorus will be retired.
  5. QUOTE (graptemys @ Apr 14 2010, 03:10 PM) I wish they would just release all the songs from the live videos that they edited out (Exit Stage Left, Grace Under Pressure, A Show of Hands). We missed some awesome stuff. For example, Jacob's Ladder, Beneath Between Behind, Red lenses, Kid gloves, The Body Electric, Afterimage, Lock & Key, Time Stand Still, etc. I still feel ripped off. Why not show the whole concert? I'd really like to see the full video from the MP tour - wouldn't have A Passage to Bangkok or Jacob's Ladder on it though, those were done on the Permanent Waves tour which I don't think was filmed.
  6. QUOTE (Rushman14 @ Apr 23 2010, 01:25 PM) QUOTE (EmotionDetector @ Apr 23 2010, 09:09 AM) QUOTE (Alex @ Apr 23 2010, 10:20 AM) I want to hear Xanadu, so if we need to do some key changes then DO THEM RUSH. YES! I can always go for Xanadu again... I think Ged can still get away with singing Xanadu without tuning down. He was still able to belt out that bridge in Freewill. and I pray they play Xanadu on this tour. Along with MP and Jacobs Ladder, I'm gonna need new underwear by the end of the show. Depends.
  7. Those giant black CD's sure were interesting.
  8. QUOTE (Rushman14 @ Apr 22 2010, 06:14 PM) cant say I was a fan of Circumstances tuned down a step Me either. Anthem however would work tuned down a 1/2 to full step. It would allow for Alex to put a real monstrous tone on it.
  9. QUOTE (shaun3701 @ Apr 22 2010, 01:43 PM) With TCE they could easy cut the song in half, since it basically repeats itself. I just hope they keep the build-up in the intro, and the kickass solo at the end. That's what I LIKE about TCE though. The distinct New York / London sections.
  10. QUOTE (Merely Space @ Apr 21 2010, 05:07 PM) Cool interview. But I think Al is f***ing with us. No way they're doing TCE and JL. Remember though - he said they toyed around with it and A Farewell to Kings in getting ready for the Snakes & Arrows tour. Entre Nous should come back as well - I thought that came off very nicely live.
  11. What concerns me in the interview is this phrase: "we're rearranging it slightly" Now that worked well for Digital Man a couple of years ago but those two tunes have some great stuff in them that I'm not sure should be f-d with.
  12. QUOTE (Syrinx Priest @ Apr 20 2010, 07:13 PM) I know this will never happen and is probably not a very popular opinion but I have seen about 10 more Peart solo's in my life than I needed to. I would love if Neil moved out of the 70's and dropped the solo altogether. On second thought I am not sure when I would take my piss break then. I can agree with this - I liked it when the solo was a couple of minutes in the middle of a song (YYZ worked GREAT for this in '81). Remove the 8+ minutes of a drum solo and we could get something like Jacob's Ladder or A Farewell to Kings in there.
  13. From what I've read in an article or two where Alex is alone, I think he's all over the concept of playing a tour where they trot out the old horses a bit. Granted, some of them don't hold up worth a shinola because they'd have to be tuned down a half to full step, but some would work. Anthem would be an ass kicking opener with Alex's heavier tone these days.
  14. 3/4, 4/4, whatever it takes.
  15. While it clears up the question of the infamous "Cousin Tapes", it still leaves one to wonder what the headline show at Massey Hall was in 1976, and whether or not they played a full version of The Fountain of Lamneth. I'm betting it never happened. Someone, sometime, somewhere has got to corner Geddy or Alex (likely the easier of the two to get the answer out of) and ask point blank if they ever played it live.
  16. QUOTE (makehaste2112 @ Aug 18 2007, 06:04 PM) I Animals. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! The bootlegs available from the Animals tour really rock - get the Oakland Coliseum show from 5/9/77 for a great example.
