QUOTE (Sword and Armor @ Apr 24 2008, 07:01 PM) I just wanted to share something that my son made.
I check out this thread all the time, but usually just lurk and rarely post. I've shared my story of Autism in the past but I'll just give a quick refresh.
My son Matthew was diagnosed with Autism when he was three, we've narrowed his condition down to Asperger's syndrome. Nowhere near what GG and Cygnus deal with on a daily basis, but we have our own things to deal with. He is going to be 9 next month and is in 3rd grade. As typical of those with Aspergers, he excels in math, science and computers. He doesn't do so well in any type of liberal arts or creative areas.....or so we thought.
Our school district runs an annual art show featuring all of the best artists in our schools. Grades K-5 have all childrens art in them. This year the 3rd grade did paintings.
We never realized that our son actually can paint. His picture is below and we've come to find out was comleted in one sitting. This was done free hand just by looking at the photo in front of him. I can't express how proud my wife and I are!

Couldn't seem to find part two. Perhaps the author's column is weekly, and we'll see part two tomorrow?
Actually it was published in 2005. The second part of the article is found at the link in my post just above.
I'm an idiot for not noticing the year. Thanks for the link!
Don't be so hard on yourself, that is not the only reason you are an idiot.
Nice, dude. You think sticking a after it makes it cool, I suppose.
I'm very sorry for posting that in this thread. I guess sometimes I get carried away and talk the way I do with my friends in this forum. I did not mean any insult by it and I hope I can be forgiven. I thought it was an obvious joke that he would not take offense to. Once again I am sorry.

Tequila is the only alcohol I like drinking straight.(Well, sort of.) I like it with the lemon and salt.

Advanced Windows Care is a pretty cool freeware program. There is also a paid version but pretty much the only difference is you have to do the scans manually with the freeware version. It has quite a lot of features and I have seen it make some PCs run a lot faster after a scan and repair but most of the time you don't really notice much of a difference. I have never seen it make any problems worse or create problems. You can also uninstall programs with this and it shows you all the processes running and you can stop or delete the processes you want.(Be careful with that.) It also shows you a list of all the start up programs which you can disable or delete whichever ones you like. It's scan searches for adware/spyware, checks your registry, looks for system problems and a bunch of other things. It may not be the best program like this on the market but I find it a very useful tool for your pc and recommend it.

QUOTE (Alex @ Apr 1 2008, 04:45 PM) I didn't think the Grinch was that bad
Anyway. I haven't seen it yet, but ill try and see it as soon as possible. Everyone I know who has seen it seems to love it.Yeah, I thought The Grinch was pretty good for that type of movie but The Cat in the Hat was horrible.

I really enjoyed that!

Alright, I'm going to leave now. You people stay here and guard the thread.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=9C4UvvHMoZsI am no tom cruise fan but that was uncalled for and i thought he handled himself well in the face of a real douche bag.
That just made me like Tom Cruise a Hell of a lot more.

QUOTE (D'Artagnan @ Mar 24 2008, 02:54 PM) QUOTE (Grandtheftcow @ Mar 23 2008, 12:23 AM) QUOTE (D'Artagnan @ Mar 22 2008, 09:20 AM) Street Fighter (the movie) : Just kidding, this one really sucked ass. This line almost makes up for the whole abortion of the movie.
M. Bison: For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.
And as much as I hate to admit it I actually like 300. I know it's stupid, masturbates over sloooow mooooooo, has racist overtones, is really
, and is rather thin on storyline. But for some inexplicable reason I enjoy it.My fiancee doesn't like Predator for some reason. But I guess it's cause its one of those manly movies that the wimmins won't get.
300 is by no means a "bad" movie. It excels at what it does, and is faithful to its source material.
300 is pretty much the flick every entertainment/combat-laden "epic" wishes it was.
300 Rocks!!!

I loved "The Cable Guy" with Jim Carey and Mathew Broderick even though it was badly panned. I liked it so much because I have met people that reminded me of the Jim Carey's character.

This is Michael Moore and I'm watching you people.

I thought it would be a interesting topic. Name some famous people who are Rush fans and give a description of how you found out they where Rush fans.
I'll start off with a few.
Tim Mcgraw
Here is a clip from an interview on Larry King.
KING: So you like groups like...
MCGRAW: The Eagles -- big Eagles fan. I love Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, of course. I love Phil Collins, which I guess is a little more '80s but I love those guys in Genesis. Rush. Big Rush fan. Alabama, of course, one of my all-time favorites.
Warren Cromartie who played for the Montreal Expos was also a drummer and use to jam with Rush.
Artie Lange from the Howard Stern show is a big Rush fan and often brings them up on the show and also mentions Rush in his Stand-up DVD.
I know of more but I'll let the rest of you name some.
This should be interesting.
Thank you

Glad to see you are alright Lady April!
I don't know if most of you have seen this but the audio is taken from a Monty Python album.
WARNING: CONTAINS VULGARITY!!!
http://www.nailmaster.ru/flash/f**k.swf
Edit: I put the link in before and as you can see two letters get blocked out. You will have to copy and paste the link and replace "**" between the "f" and the "k" with the appropriate letters. If you do not know what the appropriate letters are then you should not be watching this in the first place.
P.S. I hope this is not unacceptable because of the vulgarity. I posted it because it is Monty Python Material.
