  1. I have an Amazon Fire TV Box and a Fire Stick.

You can side load Kodi and others on them and some people use Kodi to access streams of Live Sport, movies and TV shows. Me? Would I do that, with my reputation?

The problem with using Kodi on the firestick these days is that the last couple of Android versions of Kodi are very unstable and Kodi crashes quite often.
  2. The reason tickets are already on the resale sites is because Eagles season ticket holders are putting their seats up for sale. Whoever has season tickets for the sports teams that play at the venue get tickets for all other events held there too. This is why you see legit seats up already. The people who don't want to go or would rather make some money off the tickets know where they're sitting already. The tickets are real. Even the most confident and skilled scalpers can't predict where they will sit beforehand. They may have an idea of what sections they want to by from but they can't give specific sections and seat numbers before they buy them. I'm sure there are fraudulent tickets out there but I've bought tickets from resellers in the past and never had an issue. Just stick with one of the main sites like StubHub.

Good luck with the presales. They are terrible these days for the popular bands who play larger venues. Luckily you've got a huge stadium of seats to choose from so I think you'll be ok with getting something.

:goodone: Thanks so much! That makes sense. I just couldn't figure out today why tickets were already on sale. I like Stub Hub as well. We have used it a few times in Pittsburgh when hearing about a sports or concert event too late for the original sale.

Just try to order the tickets as soon as they go on sale because these resellers are going to be grabbing them up as fast as they can for a band like the Stones.

  3. I've seen this before, but I'd forgotten about it. Fantastic vid. I literally (and I actually mean LITERALLY) felt a RUSH when they zoomed through that Triangle shaped opening in the cliffside during the solo. Thanks for bringing this back to my attention.

what is insane is how close they get to the rocks and trees. All it takes is one slight miscalculation and your dead
  4. Who is the most sane, Tick or Rushhead666?

    You decide...

Wait till you have both arguments then vote.

    Here is mine...

Hello, my name is Rich. Some know me as Tick. I'm 54 years old. I have an 18 year old daughter who is a freshman in college. I have been married to my lovely wife Laurette for 23 years. I manage a flooring store. I love prog music, bacon, and Christopher Columbus.

I like to make great food and entertain those I love.

I'm a die hard Mets fan and like long walks on the beach.

I am a stable sane individual.

    You, by a long shot!
  5. How is this funny? It’s November not April. **triggered**

It is not, it is juvenile!!!!

You really don't have any sense of humour at all, do you?

It was too predictable to be funny. I new what this thread was before I clicked on it.

Anyone with an IQ above that of an amoeba surely knew that, it wasn't that part that was meant to be funny.....bloody hell.

I didn't read all of the posts in this thread. Why so serious? lol
  6. The main reason why a lot of people won't listen to Rush is because they can't get past Geddy Lee's voice. I have always wondered how much more successful they would've been if they had kept Geddy on bass and keyboards and hired a singer with a more conventional voice. They could've been a 4 piece band like the Beatles.

I don't think they would have been more popular. I believe that Geddy's voice was a huge part of their success. My first time hearing Rush was from their debut album and the power and uniqueness of Geddy's voice was what got me hooked right away. I think their are a lot of Rush fans who experienced the same thing.

  7. I'm not in total denial so I believe that Rush is over and we won't see Neil, Alex, and Geddy together again. I also believe that Ged and Alex wouldn't go onstage as Rush without Neil at this point.

However, I thought it would be fun to share who you think could work as a replacement for Neil in a hypothetical situation.

I read that someone in an interview asked Dave Grohl which is about the worst thing I can imagine.

My favourite drummer (yes, more than Neil) is Dale Crover from the Melvins. I don't think his style would work at all with most Rush songs but I would love to see them try hahaha.

wow, that makes 2 of us on this website who like melvins

I think you'll see after some time here that squeaky clean sterility is all most people here want in music, unfortunately

I also like squeaky clean dishes.
  8.

This this this. "It is what it is, and whatever" are not at all the simple lyrics that they appear to be on the surface, at least to me.

I'm an English professor, so I've spent over half my life looking for shades of meaning in things. We're taught that "it is" (as expletives) are filler words - in this case, an "empty subject and empty verb." But conceptually . . . the deep possibilities of what "it" is and what "is" entails in terms of being and existence. Dizzying. Then of course, there's the "what" . . .

And so far, no one has threatened to beat me up.

I speaks english and yuo is write.

  9. Geddy doesn't belong on a 'best keyboardist' list anymore than Keith Emerson belongs on a 'Best bass player' list.

Geddy is a mediocre noodler on keyboards, nothing more.

Magazine: hey how do we sell more copies? hey mention geddy!

Want to sell even more? mention Big Al... :)

Alex will make the list for best backup vocalist.

  10. My read is Neil's decision is final and Gedy would like to consider to continue as a working musician somehow. He just has to think whether a Lee/Lifeson Project is a viable thing or go it alone. I think a certain amount of Rush fans would be interested in a solo Lee touring but it would have to be scaled down considerably. Lee/Lifeson I imagine could play 2 500 seaters throughout NA.

Oh and treeduck..who is that angel in your sig?

Let's just say, she ain't no angel!
  11. LOL - wasn't that a rumor 30 years or so ago? Wasn't trying to stir the pot, just commenting on what I thought was a deft but unusual comment: "life as friends... can't tell you more than that..." Of course that can be taken many ways.

Are you suggesting "Friends with benefits"?

  12. My thoughts are with your father and your family. Your father sounds like he is in good shape for his age. These types of surgery are very common these days and it very rare that something goes wrong.

Sorry, I just saw that your father already had the surgery and I am very happy that everything went well.

  13. Me texting an old dear friend Saturday night.

    I'm totally stoned at a party...ITS f***ing GREAT!

It’s been over twenty years since I’ve been stoned at a party. I smoked some oil from a device, Gorilla Glue was the oil.

Six years for me....just didn't like how I felt 'out of control' of myself....

    bUNWBGz.gif

That just reminded me of being at a party many, many moons ago where some poor gal was on acid and shrieking "I'm eating my teeth! I can't stop eating my teeth!" Good times! :P

The first time I ever took acid, it was green microdot, and I remember the classic 'Walls expanding and contracting like the room was breathing', and saw a gigantic Wasp flying through my bedroom...

I fell in love with acid the first time I took it when I was 16. I must have done it a couple of hundred times over the next few years.
