Just found out Neil Young is coming to the Keller on 10/22. Going to make every effort to go to that.

    Awesome!

He is one of the very very few musical artists left that I haven't seen but would REALLY like to experience!

I wanted to see Cradle of Filth in Montreal on the 20th but I think seeing three shows in three different cities in three nights would be too much.

Aaaargh - I really wanted to go and so did a friend, so we broke down and bought Filth tickets.

Three concerts in three nights in three different cities... should be an interesting road trip!

  3. 1. Connery. Classic and simply the best. Not only subtle and suave but he did an amazing job playing without emotion - a complete psychopathic killing machine to rival Michael Myers.

    2. Moore. Second only to Connery, a great fit. Stylish and a real lady killer. This guy also played in many of the better Bond movies ever.

    3. Dalton. I agree with Jack License to Kill sucked but Living Daylights was awesome. Not to digress but oh man the Cello chick in that movie was smoking hot. *drool*. Too bad he didn't get at least one more movie to show us what he was capable of.

    4. Craig. Oh brother we get into the b-list at this point imo. Sorry I tried to watch Casino Royale twice so far on BluRay but only got about 3/4 of the way through so far. I woulda swapped Brosnan for Will Smith I thought he was so lousy so I'm happy for a change. Really gotta give the guy another chance or two see what he's really capable of. Will he turn out to be the "closet" Bond? I was speechless when the intro didn't have silhouette babes. Mr. Brocoli is rolling in his grave.

    5. Brosnan. Probably a personal thing for myself but damn I couldn't stand this pretty boy as Bond. Didn't even feel like watching a British agent at all couldn't shake the American feeling off this guy. I also feel he crossed the line of the subtle seducer and instead turned Bond into a cheap dirty one liner to make Schwarzenegger blush embarrassed.

    6. Lazenby. These last two would eclipsed Pierce also if only you could even remotely argue they were real Bond's. IMHO they were not.

    7. Niven.

To top it off I'm not one of those people that will buy a case of rotten tasting beer to save $2 - but this brand is actually about $10 a case cheaper that the competition up here and it's DELICIOUS.

  5. I'll be seeing Scorpions next Tuesday - after that a bit of a break for two weeks until three Rush shows in 6 days in mid September.

How the heck do you tune the last three strings to DADAAD anyways? Tune G up to A, drop B to A and drop E to D?

Man once I get my 12 string tuned to this I may never bother tuning it back. LOL. I wish I had a personal guitar tech - not like I deserve one.

    tongue.gif

Disregard my last post please - I figured out the tuning.

What tab are you guys using though? I've been checking this out this evening and it sounds a bit off - might just be me though currently still playing in slo-mo.

Other than that 360 is busted

That sucks, too bad you can't play Bioshock tongue.gif

I know! I've heard rave reviews.

I've had a new MB for the 360 for a couple months but no time to bring it to buddy to install it.

I finished The Darkness this morning - methinks I'll finally get the 360 fixed this week.

Stupid Red Rings of DOOM. Of the dozen people I personally know who own a 360 - ALL of their consoles have died - two of them twice! Thanks for bringing your blue screen of death equivalent to the console world Microsoft you geniuses! I avoid PC gaming and use consoles to avoid such nonsense to being with.

  8. Been playing through The Darkness on PS3.

Very cool/creepy game - kind of like a cross between Max Payne and Constantine. Well done stylish story makes me want to check out the comic books.

Other than that 360 is busted and kinda got bored with Twilight Princess on WII so after The Darkness may try to get into Resistance Fall of Man (PS3) more - I'm not too crazy about it so far what little I tried it.

Other than that waiting for Heavenly Sword PS3 - playable demo is INSANE and Warhawk to come out.

  10. Legend has it the one thing I was truly terrified of as a kid was one particular Sesame Street skit.

I do believe the skit is a young Mozart trying to compose "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" but he always gets stumped trying to flesh out the lyrics and bashes his head on the piano.

    Twinkle! Twinkle little star!

How I .. wonder.... what you...

    Eat?

NO! NO! NO! NO! *SMASHY SMASHY*

  11. I was really upset when the cover for Spinal Tap: Smell the Glove album got censored at the last minute to be a "black album".

But at least they somewhat revisited the theme when they finally released Bitch School.

Slow drivers who feel the need to stay in the left lane without moving over when a faster car is riding directly behind them.

That is exactly what I was going to post.

One of the main roads near my house I use all the time is two lanes each direction 80 kpr speed zone. Almost every day I run into a couple retards doing 65 right beside each other blocking both the lanes and the person in the left lane is too stupid to move over - and often on their cell phone too!

    Grrrrr.

    Bud light

Water & painkillers, Had too much of that last night............sore head today wacko.gif

I had too much of that last night also but thinking of letting it rip again this morning.

Finally a nice quiet rainy day off to do a few things around the house, probably watch a movie and whip up some tuna steaks on the grill later on.

May as well start the day off with a Lucky Lager!

  14. Haha! Nice poster!

I very much love the SAW series. They are fast paced movies that really deliver on the gore they promise - unlike almost every other movie in the "torture" genre.

    Good old mindless entertainment!
