  1. I honestly don't really "hate" any Rush song...so, I can't legitimately say "worst"...but here are some of the songs that get the least amount of airplay with me:

    BU2B2

    Rivendell

    High Water

    Faithless

    Peaceable Kingdom

  2. Vapor Trail

    Ceiling Unlimited

    Earthshine

    Ghost Rider

    Secret Touch

    One Little Victory

    Nocturne

    The Stars Look Down

    Sweet Miracle

    How It Is

    Freeze

    Out Of The Cradle

    Peaceable Kingdom

  3. Finding My Way

    Anthem

    The Necromancer

    Something For Nothing

    Xanadu

    La Villa Strangiato

    Different Strings

    YYZ

    Chemistry

    Afterimage

    Emotion Detector

    Open Secrets

    Chain Lightning

    Neurotica

    Cut To The Chase

    Time & Motion

    Vapor Trail

    The Main Monkey Business

    BU2B

(I've only ever caught 5 of these songs live...so it would be a fantastic experience personally.)

  4. You are definitely NOT the only one.

I'm a HUGE fan of this song...have been since day one of listening to TFE.

I've never understood the criticisms in regards to the lyrics, at all. Can some lines be considered "corny"? Sure. But I'm sure the same can be said for many other lyrics over the years...and that would include other songs from their 'Classic' period.

Like it was stated above...the song was written for 1996...time to get over it people!!

It's easily a top-three TFE song for me...along with Time & Motion and the title track.

  5. Well, based on the sheer hate these two seem to get all the time...

    Neurotica

    Virtuality

They are probably my favourite songs on each of their respective albums...yet most can't stand them.

Other than that, coming off an album that most fans enjoy...

    OPEN SECRETS

Amazing song...beautiful music, excellent lyrics, and an outstanding guitar solo.

HYF is an album that most fans hold in high regard...but this song is seemingly never one of the ones talked about. It's my personal favourite on HYF.

  6. 1. BU2B

    2. The Wreckers

    3. The Anarchist

    4. Clockwork Angels

    5. Seven Cities of Gold

    6. Headlong Flight

    7. Caravan

    8. Carnies

    9. The Garden

    10. Halo Effect

    11. Wish Them Well

    12. BU2B2

I'd say the bottom half is pretty much locked in, while the top half are pretty interchangeable depending on the day...

  7. Apparently my last post was... two minutes ago...

That's OK, as long as there are Spam Threads, you'll never be the #1 poster.

And because you'll overtake me... ;)

keep your forbidden love out of EDs thread!

His true "forbidden love" is for the Buccaneers...right TD?! ;)

  8. Also...just noticed people have mentioned it in here, and I agree...

    THE GARDEN

The song itself is fine, and it captures some emotion for sure...but I recall people going completely gaga over it from the moment CA was released, and to me, it likely ranks near the bottom in terms of songs on CA.

  9. From a "radio hit" perspective...NEW WORLD MAN.

(The fact that it was their highest-charting single is a bit mind-boggling to me, when I consider all of their other "radio hits".)

From an "overplayed" perspective...probably CLOSER TO THE HEART.

From a concert perspective...probably THE SPIRIT OF RADIO.

(I could go with it being left off future setlists, personally.)

  10. Welcome to the club!

Buckethead has been a staple in my music collection for about 4 years now (since I decided to check him out from Treeduck).

The guy is AMAZING...and it sucks I didn't know about him earlier. Just so, so much amazing material to sift through...it's really awesome when you first start listening to his stuff. His collection is massive...and his styles vary enough to get everyone interested in something!

It always kind of boggles my mind that he isn't more well-known, as I probably consider him my favourite guitarist (along with Satch). Instrumental stuff is amongst my favourite, and I love the diversity I get with Buckethead. There is always an album to match the mood I'm in.

    Happy listening!!

  11. Also...Happy Portugal Day!

Thank you so much to all! It means a lot!

I know that lately, I've gone through a lull lately where I haven't been on TRF nearly as much as I'd like to. It's been very busy!

This little one has kept me very busy...but I've loved every second of it!! Doing her best "Starman" pose! :)
