  1. Had to say...RAP. It seems like everyone so far is on the same boat...
  2. Is Neil Peart better than John Bonham? YES! Why, you ask? Because he is NEIL PEART. Neil is the greatest drummer in history...end of story!
  3. QUOTE (Finbar @ Jan 30 2007, 01:17 AM) It's gonna be my first Rush show. I wanna remember it forever. WOW...I envy you big-time!! I can't even begin to describe how blown away I was when I saw my first show back on the VT tour! Amazing. The truth is, no matter how big of a Rush fan you truly are, you are guaranteed to come out of the concert loving the band even more than you did going in! Rock On!
  4. I picked the "IT'S GREAT BECAUSE IT MEANS VARIETY" choice. But I have to be brutally honest, I will not believe anything until I see the album in front of me. I have never pictured Rush making more than one instrumental on an album. Don't get me wrong: Would 3 instrumentals rock? Absolutely...as long as they're up to par with their previous 5 instrumentals, the album would seriously rock. I'm all for instrumentals...Rush has never let me down with any of them personally. If they could make something like "Strangiato" again, that would completely blow my mind! Incredible really. But like I said...I cannot really believe in any 'rumours' until I have the album in my stereo, and have heard it for myself. Even 'Peaceable Kingdom' was recorded to be an instrumental. It was changed at the last minute...so you never really know what to expect. I will just wait and see what happens!
  5. QUOTE (priest_of_syrinx @ Jan 23 2007, 04:56 PM) Everybody will vote for The Beatles because they're The Beatles, but I'm going with Genesis. Exactly Friend! I'm with you! If we are discussing strictly 'impact' on the music scene, then everyone could make several arguements for The Beatles, Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Who, and so forth. You look at this list...and it's incredible. So many amazing bands came from the UK over the years, and there are still many great ones missing! But...I'm going with one of my all-time favourite Prog-Rock bands: GENESIS!! PS. Listen to 'HOME BY THE SEA'...incredible epic, and one of the greatest songs ever written!
  6. QUOTE (Kudzu @ Jan 23 2007, 09:11 PM) We Can't Dance by Genesis, mostly on a whim. It's mostly pop fluff, but there are a few nice tracks. "DREAMING WHILE YOU SLEEP" This song is fantastic!! An emotional rollercoaster to say the least.
