  1. Having BUDGIE NIGHT!

Rank the Budgie albums in order.

    In For The Kill

    Squawk

    Budgie

Never Turn Your Back On A Friend

    Bandolier

    Impeckable

    Power Supply

If I Were Brittania I'd Waive The Rules

    Nightflight

    Deliver Us From Evil

    Cuckooland

I'm surprised you've not got Bandolier in your top 3 and Never Turn Your Back!

I might change my mind Pat. Those three albums are up next on the stereo! I confess it's been a while sine I was on a Budgie Binge.

  2. f**k that, WASP should be opening for Armored Saint. I wonder if Armored Saint would be more popular if they didn't have so many starts and stops over the last 20 years and if the band ever committed fully to touring.

Hahahaha! You correct once again! Armored Saint still kicks ASS! They are going to blow WASP away! My buddy is good friends with John Bush. I've been on the tour bus. Been with so many Metal Legends. That was the night we went to Metal Allegiance in SF! It was Mike Portnoy's birthday that night. I hung out with him after the gig. Met so many of those Metal Cats! EPIC!

Might get backstage for WASP now. But who knows?

  3. Meh, it's fine.

Admittedly, never got Blink's popularity. But I kinda skipped most of that Nu Metal scene when it was peaking.

Pretty sure Blink 182 was a punk band and nowhere near the metal scene at that time.

    Pop punk at that.

Yeah, but Punk was already pop before that because of the Ramoans, Clash, Green Day and Offspring.

    Correct.

  4. The new SCREAM movie is coming out this week, Its 25 years later....im going to see it Saturday. It has a good rating !

Yes Chicken! Can't wait! Too bad I will have to wait for 4K! Wouldn't catch me dead in a movie theater.

  5. How many times do you think they say "evil dies tonight"? They say it so many times that it feels like a joke. It's weird that they dropped the ball so hard after Halloween 2018 was so good.

    Storm!

Exactly!! It's so stupid. I can't believe Carpenter green lighted the script. A complete joke.

I saw it in the theater and thought it was ok.

Well I tried to get through it last night on 4K and I had to turn it off. Pure shite.

    H40 2018 IS GREAT!

  6. Once around the world is a fantastic album. Brilliant. The best of their 1st 3 albums imo.

One of my favourite albums of all time actually.

Early posts talk about their band name being very 80s - well they did have that look about them even though they were playing prog rock albeit with a dash of 80s pop. Bit like a certain band beginning with R....

They had a hit, Caling all the heroes, on their 1st album which was a bit more pop-rock-like if I remember rightly. And they went a bit more prog on Once..

I must check out the John Mitchell albums. I thought they stopped at the follow-up Eat me in St Louis which I didn't think was as good as Once. Ok but not as good.

I've seen some live YT with the later guitarist John Mitchell, who replaced Francis Dunnery (great guitarist who reputably was trying to be the main man of the band over the cause of their 1st 3 albums which caused them to split...) playing the long song Once around the World live and he and the band were (still) great.

Cranking this album now! It is there best! Then going into a BUDGIE FEST!

  7. Had to bring this back up to the surface!

Been in a big IT BITES Mode today! This band is sooooooo underrated!!

The John Mitchell Era is great too! I love KINO and his side band LONELY ROBOT. Also has a group called FROST. Very talented dude!

Was about to post this. I've become a huge Frost fan, and own/enjoy all the Lonely Robot albums as well. Kino is less of a thrill for me, but still a solid band. I follow John on social media and he's a particularly clever person and has some great insights. It's great to have class acts carrying prog forward.

That's awesome buddy! You are very smart Stoopid.
