  1. I am very upset. One of the worst games I have ever seen. The Dallas Raiders.

    I can't take it anymore.

Now I have to hope the Packers can take care of business.

Nothing in football is going my way.

Happy for the Rams and Bills. Hoping that's the Super Bowl!

    Or Bills Packers.

Cowboys and Raiders Super Bowl will never happen.

Thank Goodness Mike Cocklock was fired. A NEW HOPE!

Mark needs to sell the team and let Carr go to the Steelers!

  2. Going out of harbor aboard ship.

    No joke.

Wouldn't surprise me if I am in Hospice by the end of the week.

Haven't any more energy to write more at this time.

    Don't ever die of cancer.

    Love and prayers to all.

There is no unforgiveness on the other side.

    Only in hell.

There is a phantom ship that waits for us all in the Harbor Of Tears.

We never really know how many months or how many years.

You are a Beam Of Light Lorraine that shines into the dark.

You are a strike of Chain Lightning.

You are the Fire that has been lit by the Eternal Spark.

    A beacon.

    A shooting star.

With Mystic Rhythms we pulsate to a limited life.

Off to Xanadu we go with one last chord from a double neck guitar.

    We Hold On.

    We let go.

We are all waiting for our ship to come in.

Let the High Water rise and flow.

    Take it easy.

    Take it slow.

    Make the good times last.

Leave the bad shit in the past.

    We are all Together.

    Forever.

    As One....

    Lorraine....

Starlight will burn through the rain.

    Sometimes we lose.

    Sometimes we win.

    Life is a virtue.

    Life is a sin.

    Hang in there!

    You are amazing and strong.

    One more extra salted pretzel.

One more spin of your favorite Rush song.

    Love you Lorraine!

    Earl

  3. I went Lawless, Dubrow, Lawless.

Nice! Makes sense about Dubrow and Slade. They covered two songs for Goodness Sakes.

I like Dee Snider though, I think he's the best frontman of the three. I should have put that option in actually.

Dee is the best frontman. No doubt. I love his LIVE AT THE MARQUEE rants. He's a Legend!

    That's a fact!

    Absolutely!

Earl you're like the Gregory Peck of heavy metal!

Hahaha! I'll take it! He was awesome! You can call me "THE OMEN!"

Aye! I like Gregory Peck, a solid Hollywood legend!

He is buddy! I agree! You are the Charles Bronson of METAL! YOU KICK ASS TOO!

    :haz:

  4. Earl and I are probably the only ones here who give a shit about Ghost, but on Tuesday, Cardinal Copia became Papa IV at a Ritual in Mexico. This ritual was the first one since late 2019 and it was the last ritual until next year, so there was a lot of speculation and anticipation as to what would happen to him before the next album cycle.

Here's a look at Papa Copia (Popia Copia as I like to call him):

    ghost-papa-emeritus-iv.png?fit=700%2C394&ssl=1

But before the reveal, Papa Nihil perished during his sax solo in Miasma. He was the head of the clergy.

    Hahahaha! Hey Jamie!!!

I had to pull this awesome thread back up to the top!!

I must type what I found here today even though I just told you on the Budgie Thread!!

I was a Rasputin Records today and I was rummaging through the Ghost section just because I always like checking stuff out there.

Well! I scored Jamie and Pat!

I found a sealed mint copy of Ghost's "Ceremony And Devotion" live double cd! It's the rare banned version with the big hard rock cock!!!

My buddy who runs the place told me he found it in the back on hold for someone who never picked it up. So he put it out today and BOOM!! I SCORED!!!

    Jamie!

Are you going to Reno to see GHOST AND VOLBEAT?

I will be there with my 84 young rocking dad!

I hope it isn't cancelled because of OMICRON!!!

Hope all is well! I hope you are going up to Reno! We were at opening night together years ago!!!

  5. i was so sad to hear this. i've been a Budgie fan since i was 17, i still love them so much. Burke Shelley was very talented and criminally underrated.

    Unholy Ghost Shit! Jamie!!

Are you going to Ghost and Volbeat in Reno?? I will be there with my awesome rocking dad!! He's already seen Ghost twice!

I hope they don't cancel thanks to Covid.

Hey on a side note I was at my local record store and my buddy who runs the place found a sealed GHOST LIVE double cd in the back. It was back there for like 8 months.

When I saw it today in the Ghost section I picked it up and realized it was the first pressing! It has the hard cock on the statue! Not the lame banned cover! SCORE!!

  6. GO COWBOYS!!!! PLEASE CRUSH!

The enemy of my enemy is my friend, and we'll take whoever'll fit on the bandwagon!

    Haha! "The Enemy Within!"

Two of my best friends are Cowboy Fans! I hate the fukking 40 Whiners. I want a RAIDER COWBOY SUPER BOWL!

  7. Have you ever heard Boxcar Racer? It was Tom's heavier side project about 20 years ago, which also featured Travis Barker

    25!!

Where have you been? Thank you so much! You made my night!

This is one of the main reasons why I love The Rush Forum! I think I know so much about music and yet I don't know shit!

    "I Feel So..." STUPID! LOL!

I have never heard of this side band.

I'm listening now to the album!

    I LOVE IT!

I don't care what anyone thinks! Some people on here hate me because I love RATT! LOL! FUKK EM!

    I love BLINK!

I think Travis Barker is a fuckking incredible drummer. He's the modern day Tommy Lee. I love him too!!

There is no doubt that Tom is a genius.

Barker just kicks serious ass on the kit. Guy escapes death on a plane crash and is now back flying on planes. He has more balls than anyone on this Forum.

Get yer "BALLS TO THE WALL" Man.....

ACCEPT ME FOR WHO I AM! LOL!

I hope Angels And Airwaves announce a North American Tour!

    Cheers SuperSmasher!

I want to ride my skateboard and wear my sweatshirt that says THRASHER! LOL!

I'm so glad you like it! That album was very important to me as a teenager.

I do my friend! I also discovered +44! I dig it too!!

    I love +44 too!

    SWEET!

  8. I would rather have Penis Envy than listen to this crap. Lol! That's my new band name.

That sounds like one of the names Steel Panther thought about when they first got together.

Hahahaha!! I LOVE IT!! I think you are right! They used to be called METAL SKOOL and METAL SHOP. As much as I love this band, it suxxx that Lexxi Foxx quit the band. They are trying out new bass players now. Ugh.

  9. Halloween Kills My Soul.

I walked out on this movie in my living room to type on here tonight. This morning?

    Whatever.

Halloween Kills is a horrific movie. Halloween II ripoff but with worse acting and a terrible score.

That fuckking idiot from The Breakfast Club should just retire and go back to his cardboard box.

Earl break down the Friday the 13th films for me, from best to worst.

Hahaha! Tough one buddy! Most are just average after the first one but I do enjoy them all actually! FUN!

    Friday The 13th

Friday The 13th A New Beginning 9I love this one with Corey Feldman. Kills Jason the way someone should do it. Even though we know you can't kill the boogyman.

Friday The 13th Part III Loved the 3D Cheese

    Friday The 13th Part 2

Freddy Vs Jason Yes! Putting this one high! You can't kill Freddie either and you know how much I love fusion Pat. I want a Jason Vs Michael Myers Film! Why not. No dialogue. lol

Friday The 13th The Final Chapter

    Friday The 13th Jason Lives

Friday The 13th The New Blood

Friday The 13th Jason Goes To Hell

Friday The 13th Jason Takes Manhattan

    Friday The 13th Jason X

    Friday The 13th remake crap

Yeah that remake was like they merged it with a daytime soap opera!

Hahaha! Pure Crap. Same with the Nightmare On Elm Street remake. A complete waste of time.

I'm all in with Elm Street III DREAM WARRIORS!

Love that DOKKEN did the title track!! Great fuckking song.

Admittedly, never got Blink's popularity. But I kinda skipped most of that Nu Metal scene when it was peaking.

Pretty sure Blink 182 was a punk band and nowhere near the metal scene at that time.

    Pop punk at that.

Yeah, but Punk was already pop before that because of the Ramoans, Clash, Green Day and Offspring.

I mean, yes. But! It should be remembered that by the early 80s, standard punk (like The Ramones and The Clash) had birthed hardcore (like Minor Threat and Dead Kennedys), which became the new standard for disenfranchised young punks everywhere. So by the 90s, for a punk band to be playing hyper melodic songs with pretty decent production and rather conventional songwriting couldn't just be considered the same as what Black Flag and the like had been doing, thus the pop-punk label/sub-genre was born.

I love the Dead Kennedys! JELLO RULES!! So many killer punk bands spawned by The Clash and The Ramones! Black Flag, Fear, Circle Jerks, GBH, Bad Religion!

For my money, I've yet to find a "hardcore" band better than Minutemen.

Hahaha! OMG! I almost wrote them down!! YES!!! I love Mike Watt!!! I saw Mike Watt play bass in Porno For Pyros with Perry and Perkins. It was in a small sex club in San Francisco. "God's Urge" Tour.

    It was fuckking awesome.

Perry was drinking red wine and filming the crowd on a small video recorder. Some dude jumped on stage and grabbed it from Perry and stage dove back into the crowd. Perry didn't spill one drop of wine but he was pissed off! Yelling and screaming to stop that guy and get his video camera back. It was long gone man.

Naked woman and men were in these huge cages suspended from the ceiling. They were covered in neon paint and f**k dancing. Crazy shit.

I didn't know Mike Watt got into such a crazy band after Minutemen ended, lol. What a killer bass player. Any band would kill to have him.

Hahaha! I know right? I loved it buddy! A fusion of Jane's Addiction meets Minutemen. The show was killer!!!

  12. Having BUDGIE NIGHT!

Rank the Budgie albums in order.

    In For The Kill

    Squawk

    Budgie

Never Turn Your Back On A Friend

    Bandolier

    Impeckable

    Power Supply

If I Were Brittania I'd Waive The Rules

    Nightflight

    Deliver Us From Evil

    Cuckooland

I'm surprised you've not got Bandolier in your top 3 and Never Turn Your Back!

I might change my mind Pat. Those three albums are up next on the stereo! I confess it's been a while sine I was on a Budgie Binge.

I've got the same top three as Zepphead, he has "In For the Kill", "Never Turn Your Back" and "Bandolier". After that it's the first two, then Brittania and Impeckable. I like the first two 80's albums a lot though too. Even the 1982 Deliver us From Evil is pretty good. I listened to it a few weeks back and enjoyed it.

Excellent! Zepphead Rocks! I'm listening to the new George Lynch Pat. "Seamless." It's awesome! Instrumental so far. Then the next three on my cd list are those three Budgie albums!

Is it melodic or is it a mish-mash of discordant riffs??

Hahaha! You are a Lynch guy like me! I was slightly impressed. It's a melodic mish-mash of riffs and solos that are ok. LOL!

  18. f**k that, WASP should be opening for Armored Saint. I wonder if Armored Saint would be more popular if they didn't have so many starts and stops over the last 20 years and if the band ever committed fully to touring.

Hahahaha! You correct once again! Armored Saint still kicks ASS! They are going to blow WASP away! My buddy is good friends with John Bush. I've been on the tour bus. Been with so many Metal Legends. That was the night we went to Metal Allegiance in SF! It was Mike Portnoy's birthday that night. I hung out with him after the gig. Met so many of those Metal Cats! EPIC!

Might get backstage for WASP now. But who knows?

John Bush gets my vote for most underrated metal vocalist. Such a raw and emotive vocal style. What a genuine voice he has.

I agree! He is a great guy too! After the gig we took John out for a burrito in San Francisco. He is so down to earth and sweet. I love him!
