Holy Shit! I just hit 40000 posts! I'm "The Big Wheel!"
Same as meeeeeee
I love that song.
Hahaha! I'm silly! You are "The Big Wheel" too! We are connecting baby! I love that song too!

You did one hell of a job here. I have only one band that I wish was on that list. THE CHURCH! "Starfish" is a masterpiece. The song "Under The Milky Way" is one of my favorites. It's all the title of my movie that I still have to write out.
Thanks! I'll have to look up The Church. I'm not sure I've heard of them. Really trying to get into this stuff. Hoping to make some good record store runs in the nearish future.
Yes! Get the album "Starfish" or find a greatest hits. You will dig them.

I actually thought this was a joke until I read the comments
As someone who loves DT, but is also very picky with them, I can't say I love that setlist at all.
I really enjoy Count Of Tuscany, but in an ironic way. It's so overblown and thematically silly, and tonally almost full blown cartoony, it's great unintentional camp. But really? On the latest tour?
I love 6:00 but there are plenty of songs I'd choose to hear live over that.
What a bizarre setlist...DT seem unable to ever really get what the fans love about them right!
I loved seeing them do 6:00 when they dusted it off for the Dramatic Turn tour but I'm not sure if it needed to be brought back any time soon. The same with Tuscany. It was great seeing them do it on that tour but it doesn't need to be brought back. Especially when they are doing the new 20 minute epic which is a better song anyway.
Looking at that setlist, I would truly be gutted if that was my first DT concert.
I can't understand how a band of that stature refuse to play any true commercial faves. And honestly, casual and long term fans could come up with twenty superior setlists each!
Should I just wait till next tour then? This would be my first...
You do what you like! A band this age, make the most of it. I would like to see them live, but they are not high on my list of bands I'd want to watch live that I haven't before. If we could go back fifteen years when I first discovered them, now we're talking (but I was stupid and didn't like them then).
I'll probably still go see them. They've weathered enough of my taste expansions to become a firm favorite, and my dad loves them almost more than he loves Rush. I guess it doesn't really matter what they play so long as they play it well. And hey, I do love 6:00.
Awake is my favourite DT album and I love every single second of it. I didn't enjoy it at first but it has something about it that kept me coming back again and again!
"AWAKE" is a masterpiece!!!! Best album period.
It's a magical album. I can't think of anything like it! Though I get a similar vibe from Distance Over Time.
What do you think of the new album?
I'm getting ready to rock on Sunday at The Fox! I listened to the new album again in my car! I LOVE IT!
That's awesome! I really like the new album, it gets better with replays!
Yes buddy! When I heard it a second time through it just clicked. I know I've ripped a few of their albums in the past but man they are ON FIRE!!
I loved Distance Over Time so much, I'm sadly finding the new one a touch disappointing. And yet, I can't fault it
I love "Distance" too!! I thought I was going to be disappointed with TOP but man, the more I play it the more I love it. The melodies of John's guitar are sweet!! Emotional runs. Sweeping beauty into a sea of mechanical madness! LOL!
Right, I'm playing that next!
Hahahahaha!!! I LOVE IT!

The mid 80's and everyone has gone Linn drum crazy!
Great poll!
I LOVE ASIA ASTRA!!!!
I'm playing it now
It's very good! I don't like Alpha, so this is a cool surprise.
We have this in common too!
I love the debut. A Gem.
"Alpha" is good and I do love it but it's the weakest album of the three.
I'm so happy you dig "Astra." It's an underrated masterpiece.
Maybe it's time I did a deep dive into both these bands. I tried Triumph a while ago and thought it was all so very good but nothing stood out.
Dive Dive Dive! Get into them both!!! Some bands need more listens to grow as you know!!

I won't give up a spoiler but I cheated and looked at the set list last night.
I am going Sunday. I am very excited about one song.

Triumph will always be RUSH JR to me. But! I LOVE THIS BAND!!!
Agree. They showed up a bit later and didn't last quite as long. Just A Game, Allied Forces, and Thunder Seven are excellent albums.
Yes amigo! I love every record through "Thunder Seven."
I still had my Thunder Seven concert shirt until recently. It was so thin it was like gauze. Got torn, like my old Motorhead shirt.
That's a bummer buddy! I wish you could have saved them both!!

Great song! That's on the Aussie original High Voltage album. I used to have all the original ACDC imports, but sold them a few years ago. TNT and Let There Be Rock were cool gatefolds
:goodone:Difficult now but I'd plump for Dirty Deeds being the weakest of the Bon era. Fun album though.
Powerage is the connoisseurs choice I'm guessing - needs a few listens to let it 'breath' for some but it's Keith Richards fave I hear so who can argue with that!
The Aussie Dirty Deeds has Jailbreak and Rock In Peace. Especially weird that the former was left off, as it is a great song.
Soul Stripper!
I still have them all Allen! In a cool box set. Also on rare vinyl!!!

Weakest of the three songs I have heard.
That said, I have been a Alex fanboi since the 70s. I think its great that he making music he likes and I don't care for.
Art as expression lives on in Alex!
Three songs? Where are the other two????
Rod, I am likely wrong. I thought Kabul blues and spy house were part of the EON project? My bad
Edit- the link in the original post seems like i am correct?
Oh, got it! No, these songs are stand alone tracks that Alex worked on. My understanding is that they won't be on the EON album.
I won't listen to this pile of steaming shit for EONS.
