  1. I've been listening to this one on repeat for a little while now; I think it's my favourite on the album (at least for now). Beautiful chorus and I love the strings...
  2. SOS is probably one of my favourite books of all time. I haven't read ADWD yet, but I found FFC hard to get through and I had to put it down for a few months after plowing through the first three books in a couple of weeks. Petyr remains my favourite character. ohmy.gif

My hair's brown. Not really dark or light, just... brown. I've never dyed it, though, and I've been advised by several people not to because it has so many natural highlights and lowlights. Hm.

Actually my hair has natural highlights and lowlights as well. I have dyed my hair ever since I was 16 and I still have them. And I even dyed it black! So dont be afraid of a lil experimentation. biggrin.gif Always consult your hairstylist if you have any questions they are there to help you. yes.gif

That's good to hear. yes.gif Once I get settled in with school I might do something adventurous. laugh.gif

  5. I'm very, very mildly intolerant, but I only ever have milk with coffee anyway. I don't think we should be drinking near as much as we're told we should. wacko.gif I enjoy cheese, however!

Did you know that lactose tolerance in adulthood is actually the oddity, even if it's generally more common than intolerance? Biologically, our bodies are "coded" or so to speak (on one of our chromosomes) to decrease production of the enzyme (lactase) that allows us to digest milk after infancy. It is believed that tolerance throughout adulthood developed from a mutation that has prevailed since milk has become pretty prevalent in society... we're the only mammals in the world to drink milk past weaning (and a cow's, no less!).

Well, there's your biology lesson for the day. laugh.gif

I'm simultaneously reading Dr. Durrell Bowman's musicology dissertation, Permanent Change: Rush, Musicians' Rock, and the Progressive Post-Counterculture.  Over 300 pages which smartly analyzes Rush music, Rush lyrics, and Rush's image in the music world.  This is brainy stuff, but I think of Rush as a brainy band; they ought to be taught in college.

I met Bowman at RushCon I, and took part in the fan survey which he bases some of his findings on.

Thanks for sharing! This looks like a really promising read. The day a Rush course (at least in part) is taught at UofT would be quite the day, heh. They do have a Beatles course. tongue.gif
