Hmmm... Off the topic of hockey, but for me there's nothing better than the Great American Pastime: Baseball!!

Just got finished with a Fruit Juicy Red-flavored Hawaiian Punch Light. That's what you get when you live in a house with 3 girls (mom, sister, sister) and only 2 guys (me and dad): You get a TON of diet drinks. But the Hawaiian Punch Light is actually pretty good...

On Sunday, I finally purchased Caress of Steel
Today, I finally received Hemispheres!
Rush albums I have yet to get:
Rush
Presto
Roll The Bones
Test For Echo
Feedback
And all their live ones except Exit... Stage Left.

Okay, I'm voting The Necromancer for the sweet guitar solos and Return of the Prince

QUOTE (geddy alex peart @ Jun 19 2006, 10:33 PM) I like certain songs but i mean like in general the albums blow I think Counterparts is one of their most consistent albums! Are you including HYF and T4E with the list? Because I really like HYF, and I've heard T4E a few times and don't really dig it all that much...
-
QUOTE (geddy alex peart @ Jun 19 2006, 10:28 PM) from HYF to TFE
(everything in between sucks)Maybe RTB, but did you skip The Pass and all of Counterparts?

There's some thread about Rush songs that give you the most emotion and Bravado was up there! I don't have the album, but I have it downloaded (only temporarily) and I gave it a listen and said This provokes no emotion in me! If I feel like crying, I'll go listen to The Pass
-
Hmmm... IDK what to think of that voice on the Necromancer right now... I don't know if Geddy could sing those lines without me laughing, either... Boy, this album is really consistent.... Now the race is Bastille Day vs Necromancer vs Lamneth... I'll vote 1 week from today
-
Just bought it today at Best Buy and I think it's a good album... On my 3rd time listening to it (at ITIGB now) and I'll weigh each song against each other...
Bastille Day: Rocker. Awesome. How many bands can rock out to the French Revolution??
I Think I'm Going Bald: Silly, but still a good song. I showed this to my dad (who's showing signs of male-pattern baldness ) and he laughed.
Lakeside Park: I really like the atmosphere of this song. It's a good one to kinda chill out to.
The Necromancer: I think the voice-over thing really ruined the atmosphere. I think it would've been a lot more emotional if it wasn't for that dang voice. Minus that, it's a good song.
The Fountain of Lamneth: Not their best 20-minuter, but it's quite good. If any other band did this I'd be like "Holy crap!!" I really like how it portrays growing older and what-not.
In conclusion: The race is close between Bastille Day and The Fountain of Lamneth. I'm going to give the rest of the album one more listen before I decide.

QUOTE (*Limelight* @ Jun 17 2006, 04:18 AM) For some reason
i suck at anything in the 4.999-2.500
Range.
Anything above or below that i get in all the time.
Current Best: 15Same here! But my best is 33 (like I already said...)

QUOTE (fledgehog @ Jun 13 2006, 12:21 PM) whoever voted for The Big Money needs to be shot. Very true.
-
I love the whole album (even Tai Shan!) but Time Stand Still gets my vote. It was actually a tough vote...
-
Mystic Rhythms and Big Money are the only really memorable ones on here and MR beats out BM () by a longshot!
-
Another update: 33!!!!!!
-
The Paper Toss game is really fascinating to me because if you try to play that (even without wind) in my school, "La guillotine will claim her bloody prize", so to speak
EDIT: Wow, I just got 27!! BEAT THAT FOOLS!

15 so far

Shapes of Things
The natives smile and pass along
A sample of the heel

I voted Making Memories because it just doesn't make memories

Self-explanatory.

I'm not posting my vote yet because I don't have all their CD's, but it's really really close between Natural Science and 2112 with Natural Science barely edging out, but I don't have Caress of Steel, RUSH, Hemispheres, Presto, RTB, or T4E yet ...

Fountain of Lamneth
LAKEside Park
FOUNTAIN of Lamneth
Both have to do with water, plus they're both on Caress of Steel.
Not as in the subject of the song, but there are things related to water in the titles, ya know...

It's a stretch, but One Little Victory?
"To the forces of light and heat"
-
I picked Permanent Waves. The lyrics are awesome.
-
I almost voted Anthem, but By-tor + Snow Dog has more cool solos and stuff.
WORST Rush song EVER

Worst song? Yikes, something from Test For Echo......as much as I LOVE some of the songs (Time and Motion, Test, Driven...) some of the tracks are so forgettable...
I can't even remember the track listing.....
I love Counterparts, too!! I've only heard T4E a few times and I'm not a huge fan of it. Not for the lyrics, just the forgettability! There are not a lot of things memorable from it.
You're right about Power Windows, but I disagree about Hold Your Fire. I love that album and I think the lyrics are from the average person's perspective. I think it's a really warm, straightforward, but kind of relaxed album.
