  1. Here's an article that just popped up about the Cleveland omission. There is a line in there by the author saying that Live Nation said a Cleveland stop was not being planned at this time.

The Clock Work stop at Cleveland only the lower bowl and floor sold out, but I guess they only had 10-11,000 available tickets for concert. So it was possible they considered it "sold out" The crowd that night had lukewarm enthusiasm for most of the show until the encore set 2112 etc... I enjoyed it immensely although surrounded in zombies... I'm not completely convinced that they will skip Cleveland and believe a second leg might emerge after a extended break from first. After all they did this sort of thing before, Time Machine believe Columbus was listed as the only Ohio stop ( possibly Cincinnati also can't remember) And then of course Cleveland was honored with being first US filmed release concert for the band.
  2. Why do you think it was down? I think it was a touring frequency issue.

I just seem to recall a lot of the talk on here being about how surprised some people were at how a lot of the venues had section tapered off, seats moved from higher up to lower bowl (which happened to my group in Pittsburgh). People were pointing at touring frequency as a potential reason, but overall (couple years removed from Time Machine) and not necessarily oversaturation of specific markets.

Many were whining about the set list on Clock Work Angels tour also as a reason for not going.. Personally I loved it!

  3. Geez, what's all this whinny crap about Urban running up the score? :boohoo:

Total bs, hell we gave them charity enough with four turnovers, I guess there right in a way if the Bucks didn't turn the ball over that many times the score would've been" run up " a lot more!!!

    Huh?

    Who is whining about that?

Reading numerous comments posted on ESPN after the game and this Huffington Post blogger ripped Urban claiming that's what he did and that he lacked Christian values... ... Oh and heard it on Fox sports radio driving home from work late. Callers frustrated Duck fans? or just typical Buckeye bashers pissing and moaning that the game was won and Cardale Jones should've ran out the clock take a knee. Funny the ducks didn't practice the same courtesy when they were pounding FSU and then taunting them after the game.. :eyeroll:

Absolutely ridiculous for Oregon fans to complain about running up scores. Oregon runs up scores on other teams every time it can, which is quite often.

    Yep,

And it was shoved down there throats!!! :dweez: :haz: :7up:

Have I mentioned already that I really enjoyed watching that game, and watching Oregon's gimmicky "Quack Attack" get stomped by a more physical team?

    ;)

Can you imagine what the score would have been with out the turnovers? :haz:

The margin of victory would've been larger also for the Bucks in Sugar Bowl against Bama also if it wasn't for couple redzone turnovers ....

  4. He is staying! :dweez:

Bitter sweet for me, relieved he's staying Scarlet & Gray .. BUT the suffering Browns fan I am was dreaming of a homecoming for Cardale.. ;) Curious now to see if Braxton Miller will transfer...

    Screw the Browns!

Buckeyes come first. :D As far as Miller goes. If he decides to transfer that's fine with me. The team is very young and they have to move on.

Oh there screwed alright from the many holes and doubts on the roster, and now coaching staff... With Cardale he has matured from that idiotic tweet to now. I think in in the long run for himself he made right decision. But that NFL money could've been much needed security having a family and all. Regardless, it was refreshing to see for a change forsake the big money and finish his education along with getting the Buckeyes another title! :D...

And besides, Cardale will be available after next season have a hunch Cleveland will still need a QB.. :sarcastic:

  6. The playoff worked. Under the old systems it would have been Alabama and FSU, but these 2 teams got a chance and the result was that the best team in the country won the championship on the field.

College football has come a long way:

    Overtime

    Replays

    Playoff System

Congrats to the Buckeyes. To win with a 3rd string QB says a lot about the coaching staff.

Tom Herman Buckeyes offensive coordinator and QB coach deserves much of the credit. He's leaving OSU next season to be the head coach of the University of Houston Cougars.

  7. SHUT THE DUCK UP!!! Buckeyes bigger better faster!!!

I have never been prouder & happier in being wrong about THE OHIO STATE BUCKEYES chances( and believing!!) the media favored Duckies...

BIG TEN HAS RETURNED WITH A VENGEANCE!!! :nya nya: :haz:

Final win/loss records of major football conferences in this postseason:

    Pac-12: 6-3

    SEC: 7-5

Big 10: 6-5 * Big 10 Champion won National Championship. which counts for a friggin lot

    ACC: 4-7

    Big 12: 2-5

Special Note: The often ridiculed SEC East this season (justifiably so) went 5-0 in its bowl games, preserving the honor of the SEC in the bowls, while the West went a dsmal 2-5.

This is all true, but the fact That the National Champion is from the Big Ten( like you said, counts for a friggin lot) and the Badgers & Spartans beat two teams with consistent high rankings over the years brings the conference back to respectability. Not saying all of the Big Ten, just like you pointed out the SEC East compared to the West this year. But how horribly awful the Big Ten has been in bowl games overall especially against any SEC team this is a dramatic change in events. And the main players for the Big Ten ,Ohio State, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and watch out for the return of the Wolverines with Harbaugh at the helm recruiting going give Urban run for his money. Represent a competitive powers to be reckoned with, the Ten might "eventually" someday soon progress to domination. Changing of the guards it's very possible..

  8. Getting excited about the game Monday. Thank goodness I have that day off. :dweez:

    Who are you pulling for?

I have decided to pull for the Buckeyes over they of the ever changing uniforms.

    Buckeyes!!!

Been a fan since the 70's. :codger: Regardless of the outcome, I am proud of what they have done with a 2nd & 3rd string QB. :7up:

Yeah, Ohio State was written off as OUT OF THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP PICTURE early in the season. First, their starting quarterback was lost to a season ending injury, Then, they lost to a not very good VT team.

One particular OSU fan that I have enjoyed discussing things with over the years here in successive NCAA football threads pronounced early in this thread that he was despairing of OSU so much that he wasn't even interested in following them this season.

My, so much has changed from then. Such is NCAA football, a wild roller coaster ride of a season, so often.

More things change the more the more.. ahh you know the rest.. :P Yes, for most all of the college regular season I avoided the frustrating drama of following my home state Buckeyes. Taking the ill fated plunge in believing and paying attention instead to the Cleveland Browns. Thinking it was possible they were going to amount for something this year... :boo hiss: Blind faith just doesn't pay off for a Ohio sports fan, but I admit it's been extremely satisfying the turn of events for the Bucks shocking matter of fact. lol Although I'm decked out in my Buckeyes colors daily and pumped for there return to title game, Experience has shown me to keep it real and don't get caught up in fantasy hype of what ifs,, And quite frankly the realist in me can't let me be to optimistic that Ohio State can pull this upset off. Oregon's speed scares the hell out of me and there's always been doubts what version of Luke Fickell defense were going to see The Good, Bad or Ugly??? Other then that... GO BUCKEYES!!!!

  9. Going to go to the Stars game tonight v Columbus.

    CBJ! CBJ! CBJ! :haz:

It was a good win for them, the Stars had chance after chance in the 3rd when it was a 3-2 game to tie it and Bobrovsky game up big.

Bob has been tremendous for the Jackets, night after night. .. As great as Columbus been playing still going to be a up hill battle for them to return to post season. To many teams in front of them keep collecting points, 6-15-2 by the end of November coupled with devastating injuries really did some damage to there playoff aspirations..
  10. Teams I pull for:

    NFL - Cleveland Browns

NBA - Cleveland Cavaliers (even if LBJ leaves)

    MLB - Cleveland Indians

NHL - Columbus Blue Jackets (no matter how much we suck)

College - Ohio State Buckeyes (and every so often I might pull for the Tennessee Volunteers)

Well, the Blue Jackets no longer suck. They put themselves in a deep hole early on,which there probably not going to be able surface as a playoff qualifier this year. With all the devastating injuries, amazing they climbed back to respectability and there now one of the hottest teams in the NHL..
  11. ROLL BUCKEYES!!! :D :haz: This was one of the most satisfying Ohio State victory in a loooong time. And really proud of the Big Ten on a whole , Wisconsin gutsy win against Auburn earlier and the Bucks FINALLY making SEC eat some humble pie!! (unless you count also Ohio State beating Arkansas , which was written off the record books few years back) And congrats to the Spartans thrilling win beating Baylor .... Oh and Penn State OT victory against Boston College..

  12. Seven wins and really no signs of progress, pick a position no show of confidence offense or defense after yesterday debacle. It's one thing getting blown out like they did but to show no enthusiasm , energy or anger like the Browns lacked hard to fathom . Shameful fans deserved there money back that witnessed this pathetic excuse of a "professional" football team.
  13. WOW good for the Browns , didn't they just make the playoffs in 200...................?

It was good for the Browns thanks!! :D I'm just trying to remember when they had more then four wins.. 2000...7?

Btw.. when did the Bengals last win a playoff game.. 1990...? :P
