  1. Badgers get hosed by incompetant refs, who wouldn't let them run another play to spike the clock.

The old geezers needed time to get settled....and the clock ran out. Badgers lose by 2..... :rage: :rage:

But in other news this morning...the Buckeyes win!

Great game to watch, great game for Braxton Miller's return. Really good game played by both teams, honestly. Running the football, and/or scoring touchdowns on the ground, are increasingly becoming a lost art. But that's my only complaint, if we'd even call it that.

I need both Alabama and Clemson to lose one, though, to have any chance of the Bucks going to the national championship- because no one, but no one, is going to beat Oregon. I think they'll even blow out Stanford. Time will tell, though, I suppose.

I'm no where close on being confident the Bucks could compete in national championship, however always happy to beat those pain in the ass Badgers! I think we still have some work to do, Ohio State made to many dumb penalties.. Onward and upward Northwestern the next test.

I think they could finish 4th or 5th in the SEC.

The Big Ten sucks even more then usual this year,

    than last year?

Is that really possible? Do you really believe that?

Frankly, I am more impressed with what I have seen out of Ohio State so far this year than I was this time last year.

Granted, the rest of the Big 10 kind of sucks, but that is not exactly a new development in recent college football history.

Yes.. I really believe that!!! Taking the Buckeyes out of the list (although still pessimistic about there ranking & national championship chances) every other Ten team is suspect and every failure is magnified and shown it's going to be a even WORSE year for the conference when bowl time comes around. Michigan lucky to survive against Akron? Connecticut? Purdue gets destroyed by the Bearcats, UCF beats Penn State, Iowa loses to Northern Illinois(Purdue loss to them last week) Navy beats Indiana.. Just a sample of how bad things are, granted Purdue & Indiana never considered quality football programs in the Big Ten but image is everything like i said.... btw I was being polite not to question nappy were do you think Notre Dame would finish in the SEC???? :eyeroll: ;)
  2. I know this is a far fetched insane"never going to happen" thought, but.. Wouldn't it be wild a Pittsburgh vs Cleveland world series?

No offense, but Fox Sports management would stage a mass suicide if that happened. But, certainly, if the Red Sox don't make it to the World Series, those are the two teams I'd personally like to see.

Yes they would!! Remember how sad the media was with a Indians Marlins World Series( until it went seven games) Terry return to Boston would be nice to see. I would expect a RedSoxs sweep but.. Nothing but pride for our Tribe fighting to the post season no one seen that coming( including me) :P Tito has everything to do with this amazing run along with good core clubhouse leadership from the likes of Jason Giambi and Nick Swisher, Michael Bourne.

Why would you expect a sweep? Jimenez has something like a 1.66 ERA for the last couple of months. The Indians can pitch him on full rest twice.

And I can say with some authority that Tito is a pretty decent post season manager.

Well, our starting pitchers was not my concern, yeah Jimenez i believe was the best starter in A.L. Aug/Sept amazing turn around for him. It's what happened last night what made me believe if we won against the Rays the weakest link offensively would be exposed and Boston could shut us down . And that would be the top of the batting order Bourn, Swisher ,Kipnis and Cabrera 0 for 16 last night , you can get away with that and make up the production against weaker teams say the Twins and Whitesoxs. I thing Swish is a great guy really carried his zany enthusiasm and love for North East Ohio on his sleeve and sent a much needed positive vibe in the club house. But unfortunately his playoff at bat record has always been horrible going back to his time with the Yanks. All and all real shame had opportunity to make it a game but didn't get the hits when needed most. The Rays are very tough team and your Bosoxs might have your hands full should be exciting series. Still proud of the Tribe have something to build on and perhaps advance to the next step, knocking on the door for the Central division crown... Look out Tigers!!! :)

  4. They play great against the Packers, and then they can't even score a TD against the BROWNS??!!

    :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

Listen mate, teams lose sometimes, it's just how life goes.

Our defense might be better then people realize.... ;)

Well you've had enough high draft picks over the years, by now you should have a full set of pro bowlers...

    You would think..... :eyeroll:

The Browns' entire team is better than people realize. :D But seriously, I've been giving a healthy teasing to all my Bengal fan friends. They stuck it to me last week, so I get to return the favor.... :P :P

We can't run the ball period , just a pathetic performance yesterday .

    2-2

Vikings couldn't run to well against the Browns either, Adrian Peterson had a off day for him 88 yards in 25 carries.

The Big Ten sucks even more then usual this year, I'm the first to admit it. But still think the Buckeyes will mop up the conference and take the title, .. and beat the hell out of that insipid team up north!!!! :fury:

  8. How bout those Brownies? No running back, third string QB, solid defensive line equals another win!!!!! :ebert:

What about Tanking for Teddy? A 6-10/7-9 finish and you're gonna end up with no running back and a third string QB again next year!

Despite, Browns CEO Joe Banner & GM Mike Lombardi best efforts to throw a wrench in and sabotage the season, I guess the players thought different. Besides who's to say failure is not on the horizon? Six or seven wins still might not be reached. All I know is, Brian Hoyer regardless of the fact he's a patch filler and not the answer looked damn sharp today and the Browns defense gave Bengals QB Andy Dalton nothing but grief..

  9. Had enough of Chris Perez to last a lifetime, this time gives up four runs in the ninth as the Tribe hold on to beat the Twins 6-5. ...Forty two year old Jason Giambi saved his ass tuesday night with a walk off two run homer bottom of ninth against the Chisoxs, after Perez gave up back to back homeruns top of the ninth in Cleveland's 5-4 victory. Bench & get rid of him to the lowest bidder!!! :rage:
  10. What a race for the AL WC. The Yankees, Orioles, and Royals are all eliminated, and the Rays, Tribe, and Rangers are fighting it out for two spots. Assuming the Rangers don't blow a four run lead to the Astros in the 9th, the Rays are 1 up on the Indians and 2 on the Rangers. Both the Rays and Indians have won their last 6, and the Rangers will have won their last three.

    Four games to go.

Twins.. not thrilled with having face them for the do or die series, they been tough on the Indians this year. But we've been hitting on cylinders as of late and team confidence is at a all time high. So i think we have a better then average chance of getting this thing done and moving on to post season for the first time since 2007. Wow, what a crazy surprise ride it's been!!! GOOOOOO TRIBE!!! :haz:
  11. Unless you have top of the line stereo/audio equipment wonder how much difference the new remix will be?

Even I, who hate the album, have to chime in on this one. The quality of how an album is mixed, remastered, etc. makes an ENORMOUS impact on how different it will sound. Sure, the better sound equipment you have, the more startling the difference (since higher end equipment both magnifies flaws and great sound), but even a crappy system should make a huge impact. The album the way it is, is VERY difficult to listen to. I struggled through it several times to try and get into it, and besides just hating the album entirely, it was actually physically painful to listen to with all the brickwalling and clipping. I kept wanting to turn it off to make it stop. On subsequent listens to a fan remaster, the sound wasn't painful anymore. The album still sucked, but that's a whole different matter. A remix and remaster will make a world of difference in terms of the sound - especially a remix where different instruments are given stronger or weaker placement in the mix from the original.

Makes me look forward to it even more :) I don't have crappy equipment just convenient and old technology.. My outdated Kenwood home theater system. And sony combo cassette stereo 5 disc cd carousel mini system... Well...ok maybe it is crappy!! What I noticed first impression about the original Vapor Trails cd was a murky muffled sound at least that's what i picked up on.
  12. Another well done battlefield video overview... :goodone:

It's astonishing how pivotal the year 1863 was and the immense important battles that took place. Chickamauga often get's over looked and not as well known as the Vicksburg campaign or even Chancellorsville of course Gettysburg. I might be wrong about this, but was thinking Chickamauga is the oldest established Civil War battlefield park? I was there in the early 90's would love to return, I have taken a break from my Civil War studies, my last was The John Hunt Morgan raid of Indiana & Ohio which i always had particular fascination for and visited numerous skirmish sites in southern Ohio this last July early August.
