    ya know it really isnt just rush that does this with the record the last show of the tour thing. Alot of bands are known for this. Not sure why they do it that way. and your right. its the worst time to do it, its the end of the tour. the band is worn out, uninspired and just wanna go home.. But the last 3 rush shows have that trend. rio wasn't bad except for the overpowering crowd which drowned the band right out.. R30, he sounded bad , but good in certain spots. an example of this MYSTIC RHYTHMS he sounded really bad..

    its funny how it can hit ya, i tried so hard to turn certain people on to these guys and they either get it, they dont get it. or almost get it.. Rush is just something you gotta feel. i can't explain it... But you can't just turn people on to stuff, they gotta find it themselves. Heres an example. sometimes when you play certain music for people they ain't listening like you think they are. Once, i was all excited about time stand still in 94, and i played it for a friend of mine who was all into the new music of the day and trying to escape the 80's like alot of others at that time. He didn't say mush about it.. But i don't think he payed much attention. Flash forward to 2008, he calls me up knowing iam a huge fan and he said yo man, yo know that song time stand still by rush, thats a great song, i heard it on satellite radio today, and i was like dude. i tried telling you that 13 years ago...

    well, i love van halen either way. so iam not gonna argue. Although rush is my number 1 band... van halen was my second.. but i really got heavy into rush when VH was falling apart 1996 ect. But your right.. i was too young to see them with roth. but i know it was an amazing experience. would have loved to see a full pr shot of the fair warning tour.. Fair warning is perfect. i love that record. way better than anything they did with sammy. and women and children first is so great.. eddies playing is just so great.. and van halen 2. just awesome..

    here it is. david lee started van halen and made them big. But sammy seems more like a decent guy than roth was. But van halen might never made it too much futher with roth had they carried on.. Getting sammy was an excellent choice with number one records and sell out tours.. Everyone favors david lee over sammy. but in truth. sammy was more professional than roth and a better solo career than roth. face it. roth wasnt shit on his own. facts are facts. and sammy was a better live singer than roth ever was. In fact, eddie said the reason why they never officially released a live record with roth was cause they couldnt find a decent enough performance with roth were he wasnt drunk. thats bad..

    BITCHING... wow, iam sure this is better than la villa on the upcoming TM dvd, cause the Filmer focuses on alex the whole time. not shoot the camera angles back and forth... a thousand times...

    Hey one time this girl use to work with me and told me her cousin in LL COOL J, and i was like really, and she brought in a family photo album and sure enough it was him 10000%, and the funny thing about it was that it was actual real family photos you would see of your friends. and there he was just hanging out.. that was neat...

    sammy wasnt no angel either, i noticed that it was eddies band and gave sammy a hellva chance. Although sammy claims he took a paycut when he joined van halen cause his solo career was really taking off after I can't drive 55. But one thing i noticed was that eddie was stuck for a new lead singer and kinda let sammy incorporate his solo stuff into their live set instead doing roth stuff, which sammy agreed to doing the same 4 roth songs but as tours went on he would rather do his own solo stuff than eddies previous work. No women in love mean street, d.o.a. ect. So, seems like sammy got his way too, plus eddie was drunk most of the time and didn't seem to know what was really going on.
