The whole album is great - I really dig Mystic Rhythms - but it’s not my favorite. Maybe it’s better than Manhattan Project.

Manhattan Project is one of my favorites: I love songs with stories.

  2. A Show of Hands is a great album: it has more heft than the studio albums and as a collection of songs is much more listenable than the 4 studio albums from which it primarily gets its songs.  But it’s not in the same league as the other 2.

ATWAS is great for a rawer performance with significant changes to sounds of the songs.  But as a collection of songs in a semi-live setting, ESL is the best.

Lee is top 5, though.  Honorable mentions are Flea, Jeff Ament and Simon Gallup just for the best bass riff ever.  You might say it's FASCINATIng.

I love Pearl Jam, but I’m surprised to see Ament up there.  What are you favorite tracks which feature him?

Couldn't disagree with this more. The whole thing with Taylor and the reason so many people loved him (besides being a great drummer) is because of how much of a genuine rock fan he was and how contagious his enthusiasm was for his favorite bands. He'd probably be pretty stoked about the idea of Geddy and Alex playing a Rush song together in his memory.

At the Freddie Mercury tribute concert, there were bands playing their own music and bands playing Queen music.  Both seemed appropriate.
