    My favorite albums were:

    1. Abacab
    2. Genesis
    3. Invisible Touch
    4. We Can't Dance

I love the self-titled Genesis album - I'm hooked on the song Silver Rainbow! biggrin.gif

The self-titled Genesis album is great!!!! Very underrated IMO. Well at least the second side of it is. Side One (I'm talking in vinyl terms lol) has the classics Mama, That's All (their first US Top Ten hit), and the epic Home By The Sea.

Side Two is just as great. Silver Rainbow, Just A Job To Do, and It's Gonna Get Better are ALL quality songs. Illegal Alien is slightly annoying though, even though it has a hilarious music video.

If you have not heard this album I strongly recommend you to check it out. Very solid!! yes.gif

Has anyone ever seen a band called The Musical Box, a Genesis tribute band?

I was lucky enough to have gotten to see them at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville (NJ), a couple years ago, when they were doing most of the songs from Selling England, as well as Foxtrot, and I gotta say it was the closest I'll ever come to seeing the Garbriel era Genesis live, they were that good...  new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

The Mucsical Box Starland Ballroom 2006

going to go see them in jan

Awesome! You're in for a treat, dad!

Do ya know which album (or albums) they'll be touring with this time?

The Musical Box are currently recreating the Trick Of The Tail Tour, which was the first without Peter Gabriel and with Phil Collins up front. I've seen clips of this show and they seem to be doing a fantastic job so far. Although since Denis Gagne (the Peter impersonator) is taking over the role of Phil, the vocals tend to have a bit more Pete in them than Phil.

I've seen them twice, one when they did The Lamb, then the last time they did Selling England By The Pound. Fantastic band and they are as close as your going to get to the real thing.

  3. Hello everyone,

I'm a big fan of the classic Moog Taurus bass pedals used by various bands in the past like Genesis, The Police, U2, Styx, Yes, and of course those famous Canucks RUSH!!!!!!

The huge, deep bass sound created by these monsters is IMO, untouched by any other instrument, and I was wondering does anyone own a set of these beasts??

If you do, feel free to post pics, I'd love to see them!!!!!! smile.gif

  4. Saw it last night and loved every minute of it!! Daniel Craig has proved all the doubters wrong as he pulled off the role of 007 perfectly.

This is the best Bond movie a while, I'm a big Bond fanatic and I just loved this movie. Casino Royale is to James Bond what Batman Begins was to Batman.......

It completely breathed new life into this franchise.......

  5. I saw this movie the night it was released with a bunch of friends. We all loved it. It was HILARIOUS!!

I hate to give away spoilers to those who haven't seen it yet, but Alex DOES make an appearance in the film. I won't say anything else.

  6. While it may seem like a good idea for a R35 Tour, I really don't think there will be one. We likely won't see another career retrospective tour from Rush until their 40th anniversary. However, going with this topic and assuming a R35 tour would happen here are my picks:

    In The Mood

    Fly By Night

a little snippet of The Fountain Of Lamneth

    2112: Overture

    A Farewell To Kings

    Circumstances
