  1. Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Penguins on winning the 2017 Stanley Cup Final.

And if it isn't too early to make 2017-18 Stanley Cup Final predictions...Kings in 6 vs. Senators (yes I said Kings. You wait and see!)

  2. I think we can all agree that whoever wins the next game is going to win the Stanley Cup. If the Predators win, they go back home with a 3-2 lead and their crowd has definitely pushed them forward the last two games. If the Penguins win then they go to Nashville with a chance to rap it up there, but even if they don't they play at home for game 7.

Regardless, Sunday night will be the last night Bridgestone Arena will open for the 2016-17.

I'm still going with my Predators 4-2 prediction.

  3. First of all, screw the Pens.

Second of all, here are my predictions:

    Predators 4, Penguins 2

The Penguins have depth, yes, but the Predators have something the Penguins don't: a will to win the Cup. The Penguins won last year, and let's be honest: winning the cup this year wouldn't mean as much to them as it would have last year. Another thing about the Penguins is they are tired, while the Predators are not. The Predators haven't been in a Game 7 so far these playoffs, while the Penguins have seen two of them already. The Penguins have had to battle three great teams to get here, which is enough to tire them out. They took down the Blue Jackets easily, but the Blue Jackets were nearly even with them. They took down the Capitals, who won the President's Trophy and were projected to win the Stanley Cup. They took down the Senators after a grueling 7-game series that ended in double overtime. But guess what? The Penguins have had 4 days to rest. The Predators have had an entire week. The Predators took down the Blackhawks in 4, which already shows their dominance. They went on to take down the Blues in 6 and an ambitious Ducks team also in 6. They have not faced elimination in these playoffs even once, so why should they now? On top of this, the Penguins have lost 7 games this postseason out of a possible 9 that would be the bare minimum to still make the Cup Final. This should be a great series though, because it looks very even (even without Ryan Johansen.) It's going to be one hell of a series, I'll tell you that. I say the Predators win Games 1, 3, 4, and 6 (three at home and the opener in Pittsburgh) while the Penguins win games 2 and 5 (I think they will build momentum for only these two games, once after having the initial 1-0 deficit and again when they find themselves down 3-1 in the series). I don't see this going to a Game 7 in Pittsburgh because after having a 3-1 deficit, the Penguins wouldn't be able to pull it even in front of a huge Nashville crowd. And one last final thought I have is the strength the Penguins have gone through vs. the strength the Predators have gone through. The Penguins got to the East Final by beating a Capitals team that barely beat a struggling Maple Leafs team in the first round. They barely beat a Senators team that beat a Rangers team in which the only good player on that team is their goaltender (Henrik Lunqvist). The Predators had to beat a Blackhawks team that has won 3 Stanley Cups in the last 7 years, then a Blues team that- okay, that was probably their one easy series. Then they had to face a Ducks team that has two of the top players in the league (Cory Perry and Ryan Getzlaf). Regardless, I can't wait for this series to start, and may the best team win!

  4. My predictions for the Conference Finals (series):

    Senators 4, Penguins 2

Penguins can't get to the Stanley Cup back-to-back, can they? In addition to this, the Penguins almost choked on a 3-1 lead against the Capitals, a team that barely beat the Toronto Maple Leafs. That series score was 4-2, but if you look at the big picture that series was even in pretty much everything. The Senators have had to play some tough teams to get to the Conference Finals; and I'm not saying the Capitals aren't a good team but the Senators have had to get past some pretty good goalkeepers. If the Senators can get past Lundqvist and Rask, they can get past Fleury. I think this is going to go a lot like the NLCS last year (MLB), where the Penguins will take games 1 and 3 and the Senators will take games 2, 4, 5, and 6.

    That's bold!

Murray was backing up Flower last night. If Flower wavers he will get yanked.

Yeah, I was glad to see that Murray was back and dressed last night. Fleury has been amazing, but that's unusual for Playoff Fleury (I hope it continues, though!) I don't think the Pens choked when the series was 3-1 as much as just took a breath from being so beat up and missing Letang and Murray for the early rounds of the playoffs. Not sure what the Pens will be like playing the Senators- I really think the big series for them was beating the Caps. And poor Caps- they were like Greg Norman last night- cloud of past history hanging so heavy over them that the Pens could have been a high school team and I think they might have still had a good shot at winning . . . .

Excellent points, but I do disagree with saying the Penguins didn't almost choke. Looking at the big picture you would have thought it would go to seven games, but not after the Penguins would have the series lead 3-1. And in game 6, they didn't show up until midway through the 3rd period. I think a series like the Penguins and Capitals should be the Stanley Cup Final, which of course is impossible because the two teams play in the same division, and that the Penguins will have tired themselves out against the Caps. But you never know, this could be like in the 2014 Western Conference Finals when the Kings had a 3-1 series lead, gave it up and wound up winning the series (I am a HUGE Kings fan) and when I thought they were tired out they went on to win the Stanley Cup in 5. I just can't see the Penguins getting back to the Stanley Cup Finals. The Capitals were really a lot closer to winning Game 7 than a lot of people thought, because they hit the post 3 or 4 times over the course of that game. It should be a very interesting series though, and if it goes to 7 I wouldn't be surprised.

    Predators 4, Ducks 3

The Ducks aren't a bad team, but any team that can lose a game 7-1 is not capable of going to the Stanley Cup Finals. I also say this because I am a Kings fan so I have a bit of a bias against the Ducks. The Predators have had one helluva journey to get where they're at right now, having swept the Blackhawks and being the first team to advance to the Conference Finals against the Blues. The Oilers really put a lot of pressure on the Ducks, and this is a case where a team had to play their heart out just to get to the next round, only to find themselves tired out after that incredible series. I say the Predators take games 1, 2, 4, and 7 while the Ducks take games 3, 5, and 6.

  6. The Philadelphia Union picked up a point with a draw to Toronto FC. It should've been a win (Altidoore didn't deserve that penalty in the second minute of stoppage time in the first half) but you know I'll take it. Early season points are always so crucial later in the season when fighting for a playoff spot, plus we've clinched a spot in the top 6 for the week, even if NYCFC or D.C. AND Atlanta win, we'll still be in a decent position. Plus, the hard games for us this month are over, we play Orlando next week and they don't have Kaka. Just hope Simpson is okay to play next week, he is a crucial part to the team.

I was explaining the first few. Vapor Trails, Snakes and Arrows over Permanent Waves. Presto I enjoy for some reason I don't know why, and the same for Roll the Bones.

So should we also take away the Packers' SB win with Rodgers since he liked to inflate his footballs over the legal limit?

Poor Aaron Rodgers.. Great kid, great arm, never got them to the big game :(

P.S: Rodgers is probably my 2nd favorite quarterback, so this isn't supposed to be a slight on him. Just saying I think the air pressure in the footballs being different is not Brady's problem alone. And ask the colts- After the half in the 2014 AFC game when they replaced the game balls with legally filled ones, the Pats absolutely destroyed them. It was actually a close game before that.

Over-inflating the ball would just make it harder for him to throw...the ball gets heavier the more it is inflated. And the second half of that game doesn't matter because if the first half was different the motivation would've been shifted and could've led to a Colts win.

  10. My dad took me to see Lotus Land, the Rush cover band, in Sellersville, PA. They are awesome! If you live on the east coast you should check them out.

That was yesterday wasn't it. Damn! I knew I forgot something.

Yep at the Sellersville Theater, but they will be going to Bethlehem in June I think. It's a long time from now but still it's worth seeing them

    http://www.lotusland....com/shows.html

Did they play anything after 1982?

Yeah they played a few songs after 1982, most of which were from Clockwork Angels.

  11. I found this picture of all of us at the Lee Lifeson Art Park. I got this off of the Rushcon Facebook page. For some reason I don't see myself in this picture even though I remember being in it. I see my dad, and I know I'm near him but I don't know where I am
